A favorite 20 years ago when I was much much younger. At the time, Obsession, Misha and Maxim's were my fall and winter scents - Sung and YSL Paris ruled over summer and Spring. As others on here have written, it now seems to fail for us more mature types.

I remember it having such a cooling effect on me, and the muget was almost all I noticed. I specifically thought of it as a "cold, pale purple" scent, despite it's crisp black and white packaging and nearly clear juice. Perhaps that was the orris?

"Ah yes, white flowers." my mother said approvingly. So, perhaps her words influenced my olfactory perceptions. In any case, I took a spritz again recently, after at least a decade without it, and found Sung now to be so artificial and loud, with only a vague ghost of the cooling, feminine joy that I remembered it providing.

Now, can someone tell me if I'm simply off my rocker, or does Sung have some noticeable similarity to MPG's Jardin Blanc? (with J.B. being the far more complex and more natural-smelling of the two)

I achieved Sung when I was a young girl and than it fitted me well. My mother did like is as well since she's fond of muguet fragrances. I didn't get the need to buy it a second time though. Very floral but nothing special, sometimes too much baby powder smell.

This is the first bottle of 'real' perfume I ever owned. After much testing of department store samples I informed my boyfriend that he would be getting this for my Christmas gift. And I loved it for about a month. Then it actually became nauseating to me, and has remained so. I am not a person who can instantly identify a scent on someone else, but this I can, and it's too bad. I loved the top and middle notes at first (probably the muguet and hyacinth), but the base notes became overpowering to me. Oddly, I am not a person who can't tolerate strong perfumes. This one just doesn't agree. So I got rid of it. And the boyfriend, but not for the same reason.

Innocence in a bottle. Not for anyone over the age of 25. Reminds me of my baby sister -- she wore this all the way up until grad school and marriage, then she outgrew it. Along with Miss Dior and Fleurissimo, this is, IMHO, a quintessential young woman's scent.

Nothing special. Or at least, it didn't work for me. It smelled pretty generic - exactly what I would expect to smell when I think of 80s perfume. Hm, this review sounds friendlier but as far as florals go, I actually like Sung a little less than Eternity Moment by Calvin Klein.

I've got chemistry that can't abide most modern florals (most of the floral synthetics turn on me with a vengeance), and I don't like BWF's so when a feminine floral comes along that works for me, it's a day for rejoicing. Sung is such a fragrance. TMN it's a quintessential wedding fragrance - floral but not cloying, feminine, easy to wear but sophisticated and, well... nice.
I like having a few classic florals in my collection I can count on, and Sung figures prominently.

I really like this. It's well-balanced, subtle, fresh, not too overpowering, and surprisingly sophisticated. This is an excellent all-purpose fragrance, as it would be equally at home in an office as at the opera. Very nice, soft, feminine scent, and because it's not terribly "popular" you won't smell like Absolutely Everyone as you do with the more popular and better known fragrances.
