the original formulation, besides it's bergamot, sandalwood, rose and jasmin base- included buchu and amyris. you might get that missing patchouli-esque basenote in a recreation (also remember that Aveda used Mysore sandalwood at the time- the new Love uses sustainably sourced Austrailian sandalwood.) this scent made the Esthetique Collection Aveda used to be famous for!

is this right, this perfume has never been reviewed? this is an amazing scent, if love were to have a smell, this would be it... i tried to have a blend of this recreated and it worked out well but still will never smell the same... this is a hippy sort of fragrance, with sandalwood and rose if i am not mistaken... really beautiful, great after an apres yoga workout! it reminds me of incense with jasmine... a great sandalwood scent...
