A discrete and sunny floral, very soft and warm. As with other "flowerbomb" perfumes of the era, I find it difficult to pick out individual floral notes except jasmine and something creamy and slightly tropical that I'm telling myself is yling ylang. Pineapple is listed in the top notes and though I don't seem to smell it overtly, there is general impression of rounded fruity notes.

Unlike some contemporaries, this stays close to the skin. Overall impression is pleasant and open, like a friendly smile. My only complain is that the very final stages of the drydown do take on a slight whiff of stale urine, but the whole thing is so faint by then, I doubt anyone else would notice.

Good buy for the money! One of my baby sister's long-time signatures, BB is soft yet confident and feminine yet not cloying. In the same family as Sung for Women and Jessica McClintock. Nice stuff, especially for the price.

Understatedly chic, just like everything Bill Blass ever did - this fragrance was my first real "adult" scent and one I've always gotten nice remarks on, even way back when I used to wear it at wings-and-pitcher nights in college! It's florally but in a clean, self-assured manner - you've got hyacinth, geranium, iris, tuberose, orris, ylang and carnation, so you end up with some fresh greenness, some cool powder, some spiciness, some richness. It all works, along with the green galbanum and pineapple in the topnotes, which are just like the right finishing touches in a floral arrangement. The base is classic and well-suited to the rest of the fragrance - amber, sandalwood, benzoin, cedarwood, oakmoss. A very effortless fragrance, very easy to wear, very charming. And the price is always right; for such a great little scent, a bottle of Bill Blass is one of the best bargains around.

Nice medium fragrance. Not too sweet or heavy, very feminine. I always have a bottle on hand!
