Ye Gods! What was the matter with me back then? I used to love this in the mid-eighties. I re-sampled it recently. Just as I remember it, but no, no, no! Perhaps if the sillage was racked back a little...

I once read an article that said a woman should pursue a scent that seduces her, rather than a scent that seduces her prospective suitors. This way, we fall in love with a scent that truly is evocative of ourselves because on some level it tells our story. This is Obsession for me. Created in the year of my birth, this scent is at first glance a lady, upon second glance a siren, and after an extended meeting... an ingenue. It's only downfall is its popularity. However, now that it is over 20 years old, it stands out in the sea of florientals as a provocative classic. I even love to spray a little on after I shower in the evening because I love cuddling up to the scent. I love perfume and I've worn all sorts of classics around my significant other but the first time I wore this around him he noticed immediately. Not my signature scent... unfortunately, but definitely a go to for special evenings and those random days when I need a pick me up.

I love to smell this fragrance on a woman. Have loved it since it made it's debut amd always will. It's such a sensual, sexy fragrance if worn by the right woman and some women just don't wear it well like any other fragrance. Can be loud if too much is applied like most other fragrances too, but most adults by now I would think should know how to apply fragrance but unfortunately a lot don't.

To me this fragrance is orangey and peppery and ambery. I like fragrances which stand out from all the rest and this one does just that. It seems to suit the winter time very well because it is very warming and when I wear it I feel like I am glowing. It's long lasting and delicious in some kind of sweet, foody sort of way. It's like candied peel, black peppercorns and Earl Grey tea. Wearing it is like sitting by a huge roaring fire in a big, old house while Jack Frost is busy painting every blade of grass outside.

The perfume is way to heavy for me, it's a very heavy and bold scent. I loved the body lotion though, in the body lotion the scent was just right, subtle and much more fresh. The body lotion took away some of the heavyness and left a wonderful lighter smell, I couldn't stop smelling my arms.

I am tired of this scent but it still is a beautiful perfume. Everyone loves it and it fits almost any occasion. A little goes a long way and it is truly a unique fragrance.
