   |  My first impression of this frag in the edP is medicinal banana...a caramel gourmand/bananas foster arrives after the initial shock of something akin to chloraseptic (which I love) dies off. The dry down is more classic than the top or heart, with incense notes, but reminds me of the lingering presence of a drugstore perfume. Pour un Femme is incredibly pervasive- hubby is complaining of a single spritz from the other room. It has 80s style body, but with odd notes. I rather like it, but would never have pegged it as a Caron. Have to say, I disagree with Quarry's take on the pedestrain fruit/patchouli combo- it is quite unusual, but not necessarily great.  |  Ho, hum. A contemporary fragrance reminding me of other faceless modern frags. Some fruit, some patchouli, dispensed with a light hand. Short life on the skin. Let's see, is this a twin to Excess, Bora Bora? Don't care.26 October 2006 |
 |  The packaging of this fragrance reminds me of Youth Dew's bottle, by Estee Lauder. This one is not a personal favorite. At first whiff my senses were bombarded by a strong medicinal smell. Probably benzoin. I don't know why perfumers use this stuff. Must be a reason beyond my comprehension. Anyway, as the drydown goes - it melted quickly into a heavy amber resin that merely layed upon my skin. I cannot wear this one. It is not my fragrance in any way. With all that being said...it IS Caron...so I defer to the reputation of this design house and give it a neutral rating.03 March 2006 |
