I bought this for my woman. I love it as well. It's fresh, nicely sweet and fruity with a nice drydown that lasts all day as Chanels usually do. 5 years old now but still very popular among London young society types. I personally think this has a resemblance to Roma AFTER the topnotes. You'll never get this or any Chanel for a bargain but usually those who like CHANEL as a house frankly don't care.

I am reviewing the limited edition Summer version of this fragrance. It's grassy and Chanelly! Fun. Flirtatious. They obviously pay people vast quantities of people to achieve this. I wouldn't buy it but its an enjoyable tester-should have brought it out as the original as the original 'is so dull it's unbelievable' You'll only laugh at that comment if you're English

My favorite perfume. Crisp, floral, warm- all at the same time. No harsh top notes like Cristale has. Never too sweet, or artificial. I get raves when I wear this perfume and my husband can hardly keep his hands off me when I do.

I feel this is the younger less attractive sister of Coco Mademoiselle. You know the one that is always overshadowed by the glamarous charismatic older sibling, which makes me feel quite sad when I wear it. This is also a younger fragrance, and maybe the wearer will grow up to switch when she feels more confident. Lots of patchouli evident which IMHO is always a plus. Longevity is good, so maybe try both before you buy.

I see Chance and Coco Mademoiselle as "sister" fragrances, so I will write the same review for both of them. Each is a citrus sweetened by florals and warmed by earthy patchouli. It is precisely this large dose of patchouli that makes them succeed. Chance starts off with citron, while Coco Mlle. uses orange. Both incorporate a rose/jasmine mixuture and that lovely Chanel base. They are fruity, warm, and inviting, sweet, delicious, and enjoyable. The difference to me is that Chance reached for more highs and lows. It would be like music, and Chance had more treble and bass surrounding the citrus-floral-patchouli mid-range. The citrus was sharper and the patchouli was deeper. Coco Mlle went for the middle notes, with a sweeter citrus and a chocolatey patchouli. Chance smelled better on me, more powerful and significant. Both were modern and delightful.

Oy gewalt. Like a very pretty girl with the personality depth of a paper plate. Pass.

One spray is more than enough--it's very powerful. I think this scent is unique, but its increasing popularity has made me wear it even less.

I didn't expect to like Chance because I don't really like any of the Chanels after No. 19 (which I love). I can't do Coco, Allure, Coco Mlle. I figured this was yet another Chanel that I won't get. First sniff...yep, same family. Then...after a little time...I really liked Chance. Patchouli doesn't love me, but the patchouli in this dries down to a soft warm whisper. Chance can be soft and sexy if you give it a "chance". :-) I like it.

To me, this is a great fragrance! It reminds of Versace's Versus for women because it is fresh but at the same time oriental and warm. It's like you've been using two different scents at the same time. I really don't think you can put an age on fragrance users, it depends on how your personality is. I always liked heavier scents, for example: my first perfume at the age of 15 was Samsara, a couple of years later n°5 and now I'm 29 and I love Amber Nude... .
About Chance, this is a great fragrance for every day wear or at the office because it's not overwhelming at all and still lasts allday.

I really like this one by Chanel, though it falls third in my likes...With Mdmslle 1st, Allure 2nd, and this third.

Bright, sparkling, womanly and cheeky is how I would describe this scent. The pinch of citrus and pink pepper in this seem to give it a fizz and energy. A touch of sweetness and also the earthiness of the musk give it balance. Charming, sophisticated and very wearable for either day or night. A favourite.

To me, Chance is a fresher, Allure-light. I also get the comparisons to Coco Mademoiselle, but to a lesser extent. I do like Chance, and consider it better than most fragrances out on the counters. I just prefer other Chanel scents.

I wear Allure (and sometimes Coco Mlle.) so often that I wouldn't buy Chance. But if I were gifted with a bottle of it, I would put it in the rotation.

I also think that the bottle design is uninspiring, even ugly. If you are going to pay Chanel prices, you deserve a pretty bottle.

I sneaked a spray of this off my aunty one evening while babysitting and loved it, it made me feel as though i was excited about something like the feeling you get when you go on an aeroplane for the first time. It was really interesting.

This is my favorite scent on women. Maybe it's because it reminds me of a very special lady, but also I think it is just a really nice scent. Floral, sweet, fresh, wearable, and incredibly seductive. Seems from the reviews here that this one depends even more on skin chemistry than the average perfume. Really though, try it out because at least for me this scent is a huge turn-on. Oh yea and after you try it on meet me somewhere private. Thanks.

This a scent that women and men can agree on. My boyfriend really likes the smell of patchouli which I usually find a bit overwhelming, but in this case the mix worked for both of us.

Chance is a beautiful fragrance that many perfect strangers have gone out of their way to compliment. Something about it just works on my skin like an embellishment to my personality. Chance is elegant and it has a brightness as well as a sultry spiciness. Maybe there are some similarites to Coco Mademoiselle, but, on me, Chance is more attractive and has a freshness that never gets too heavy. Coco Mademoiselle has a bourbon-and-chocolate feel that goes well with leather jackets and knee-high boots. Chance seems to go with everything, including a bikini, and the bottom line for me is it smells great.

I never thought I would like Chanel. All their fragrances smelled too heavy and rich for my easy-going 27-years-old person. Till there was Chance. I fell in love with the first sniff! It's joyous, magnetic and the main thing – it suits young women! It shimmers, it is evolving through the day, it is never the same and makes friends with different types of skin in its own – but always fantastic - way. The bottle deserves an honorary place in any fragrance wardrobe.

I love Chance! This has become one of my most-reached-for fragrances. It goes with everything, and it's so uplifting! I have this in edt, and the staying power is great. The comparisons to the scent of Coco Mademoiselle have me completely stumped. Chance is a fresh, bright floral, very warm and inviting fragrance. Chance reminds me of a lighter, more floral Allure; (if it must be compared with another Chanel). A couple of people have pegged it as Allure when complimenting it on me. Chance is lovely, and happy and very, very audience friendly. I've found a permanent addition to my fragrance wardrobe! This one gets me compliments each time I wear it, truly!

Chanel have done it again. A lovely citrus floral. many have commented that its very similar to coco mademoiselle yet they only share one note the same. This is a younger fresher Chanel fragrance.
