A classic… Chloe is quite floral. It opens with honeysuckle and lily of the valley most prominent in the floral accord. I get a little fruit a somewhat exotic coconut I think – but those two florals are very strong and dominant, and the fruit do not overwhelm the florals. Then it becomes a tuberose fragrance – strongly tuberose with some powder or amber at its edges. The tuberose is long, long lasting: It continues through the base, which adds some musk and some sandalwood to the still dominant tuberose accord. I was expecting another one of the overwhelming, take-no-prisoners classics, but Chloe is a lighter, more subtle fragrance than I thought it would be… Very nice.

Its a great one! Sexy and sensuous without being overbearing and desperate. Flirty top notes, feminine floral heart, and a sexy base. I hate to think that they are going to stop making it.

Chloe' (the 1975 original) is a treasure from its' time. I don't personally choose to wear it though...mostly because to my nose it shares the same character as Dior's original Poison ~ which I prefer. It doesn't carry the frujty aspect of Poison, but the spiced floral punch are equally dominant & satisfyingly good in both! This is a rich and bold floral, with a spicy sandalwood drydown. It is VERY pretty & VERY feminine, and shares only the same name with the new release.

Playful mix of everything floral but it doesn't get too much. Bright and vibrant, Chloe makes for a youthful scent. Dominant florals are a fresh ylang-ylang, a dullish jasmine and standard rose. That all sounds boring but the mix is well made.

This a nice warm fragrance which stays on the skin for a long time, disappointed to see it discontinued

I've been a fan of Chloe since she was launched and am probably on my fifth bottle of the EDP. On me it is nectarines and muguet, with a heady mix of rose garden in the rain and wild honeysuckle. Has lingering warmth and great longevity. Soignee but exuberant and has cats rubbing up against you, purring. Men too.

This is by no means an accurate description of the notes, but rather, my impression of the scent: take a ripe apricot, dip it in powdered sugar and sit it on white tuberose blossoms. Take your creation out to the garden where Honeysuckle vines run rampant among the flowers. That's what Chloe feels like when you first spray it on.

On skin, it evolves to an even more honeyed floral and finally imparts a soft, feminine glow that has had more than one person lean closer and ask "what IS that?"

Glad to see that the original Chloe is still available through some retailers; I'll be upset when it goes. The new one is too sterile in my opinion.

this was another scent of my great-grandmother's. As a child, I thought it was supremely stinky. I smelled some a while back at a store out of curiosity, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice, servicible floral that would work well at the office, with just a hint of my beloved Lilly of the Valley and some other white florals. Imagine my consternation when I found out that the old Chloe is not long for this Earth! I'll have to run out and snag a bottle of the old stuff before the new starts to flood in (if it hasn't all ready).

This is for the original version of it:
The EDT is a fun, light, playful and semi-sweet powdery scent that makes me smile.
It's more of a fruity than a floral scent but that's ok.
It does feel a bit dated and one has the instant memory of other 70s-early 80s scents like Babe and whatnot.
I like to smell it on women, whenever i get a scent trail on the streets, which almost never happens nowadays.

The mix of notes in Chloe seems heavy and depressing to my nose as if gravity is pulling on them and my mood at the same time. This fragrance does exactly what I don't want a fragrance to do - it brings my mood down and makes me feel morose. I'll have to go spray some Bulgari Femme as an antidote, sorry!

On my skin, this smells like a ripe, juicy peach. Odd, but mouthwatering. But there are strange, sad associations with my grandmother as well. My Pop bought it for her right before he died, and she wore it nonstop for the rest of her life after that. I use it more as something to sniff for pleasure now and again than something to wear for myself, because it feels like I'm trying on someone else's clothing.

My boyfriend bought this for me and I had never tried it before, and though I like some of the notes in this fragrance, the florals are a bit overpowering...either that, or my chemistry just cannot tolerate them all at once.

Though I didn't think it stood out as original to me. This scent on my skin reminds me of White Shoulders, which isn't good! The Flacon's stopper is very strange looking. My first thought is that is symbolizes a human heart aorta. Sorry Chloe lovers I just cannot see anything good about this one.
