It's possible I'm influenced by the advertising, but J'Adore really does feel sparkling and opulent, golden and shimmering (not to be confused with "tan" golden). It feels like soft yellow glow of lights.

Having received J'Adore as part of a large lot of sample perfumes, I was immediately attracted to its sophisticated floral scent. It's always been hard for me to find a perfume to wear because the ones that I'm attracted to don't do well with my chemistry. I'm also fond of soft florals, but become frustrated because most are found in perfumes which resonate with an artificial/cheap sourness or are cloying. J'adore is none of these things. It reminds me of a very tasteful, very expensive floral arrangement set in a pristine crystal vase in the middle of an empty table. Nothing to distract from the beauty of the moment. While there is a definite floral scent, it's not what I would consider sweet. On my skin, the result is deep...slightly musky but without resorting to a traditional sandlewood in order to achieve the result. A very sophisticated scent that I use day or night and long-lasting too. It's not unusual that I still catch a whiff off my wrists at the end of a long work day. I've since purchased a full bottle, and it's become a wardrobe staple.

Smells exquisite and mature, a truly powerhouse female scent, i just love to sense it on women. It reminds me not only of true Parision chic, but a touch of understated, sober female- (not girl-) power. Especially the drydown is a true olfactory treat.

not bad but a little offensive, how to say, just a little invasive, sorry

J'Adore was my first "adult" fragrance. After spending my early twenties wandering through the wilderness of fruity body sprays, I found J'Adore. What a lot of reviewers refer to as "boring", I refer to as "dependable". J'Adore goes on J'Adore, and stays J'Adore for the rest of the day. That's no mean feat, considering my chemistry wreaks havoc on many perfumes, making them dissapear entirely in a short time. J'Adore has persistance and a refined scent that is the best of the white flower fragrances- sweet without being cloying, and approachable without feeling cheap.

J' adore J'Adore...and I would add "flirty" to Foetidus' "fresh, floral and fruity". It's a Spring Day in a very chic countryside and the absence of any outstanding note (although I get a lot of muguet and violet - peaches and melon) accentuates it's very balanced nature. All through it's development, for me, J' Adore is feminine and alluring. One of Calice Becker's finest!!

It would take an army to steer me away from my favorite Dior fragrance, Miss Dior. (No, I take that back--if they reformulate it any more, I will refuse to buy it again.) Apparently my tastes do not agree with the masses. J'Adore is popular. Indeed, it is pleasant, and I can see why so many people like it. This genre of light, fruity florals is not my favorite. There are too many silly, simple ones. I wonder if most people wear them because they missed the chance to try anything better. For a fruity floral, I think Geir Ness Laila is more interesting. This is a Norweigan perfume of "mountain wildflowers" and a watermelon note, made with no synthetics--pretty amazing. I'll leave J'adore to the masses.

This fragrance leaves me flat...nothing special here. Begining Middle and End ~ Blah Blah Blah. There are many other scents with distinct personalities, Ja'dore is mediocre at best.

I think this smell is strange. Its not necessarily bad, just odd to me. i learned from wearing this that I don't really care for fruity smells outside of clean citrus.
This is more grapey to me. Its not a cheap overpowering smell though, its just not for me.

Fresh, floral, and fruity. The opening of the scent has a clear, balanced, and refined fruitiness that coordinates beautifully with the florals of the middle. The middle mixed florals carry those same kinds of balance and refinement that the fruit notes have, and that is, basically, the strong point of this fragrance: it does not have a strong single identifiable characteristic except that it is so beautifully combined of wonderfully complementary notes. Although it does “lack a distinct personality,” it would be almost impossible for J’Adore to be disagreeable. It is safe—it presents taste, refinement, and a winning femininity, if not uniqueness. I also agree with those who think that J’Adore might have been taken as an inspiration for Vera Wang for Men.

smells pretty.... but it's the poster child I'd say for boring, run-of-the-mill fruity florals. Doesn't smell cheap and has a pleasant composition, so it's a safe one to wear to the office or an interview, maybe, or anywhere you want to appear sophisticated without appearing altogether original.

This fragrance does not necessarily stand out from the rest of the bottles I own. Normally drawn to the more quirkier fragrances, I figured I ought to have this for times when I need to feel polished and professional. (I realize how much I sound like one of the reviewers above) This fragrance has resilience throughout the day, and I am impressed by the overall dry down it emits. Like Cashmere Mist, Beautiful and the other high selling classic fragrances, this is a generally universally appealing scent.

A well balanced, wearable and fresh day perfume. A little bit conventional but elegant. I'm normally a fan of spicy, original and oriental perfumes like Comme des Garcons but I still quite like this one. Perfect if you want to feel a bit anonymous and make a professional impression.

I enjoy most of the Dior fragrances. J'Adore is a very *nice* fragrance but it doesn't knock my socks off. Maybe that's a good thing - there's always room in my wardrobe for a *nice* generic fragrance to wear to a funeral or christening or something. (!!) "Generic" is too extreme, though. J'Adore is not quite generic, but it's not special with a capital "S", though I do like it. I love the bottle.

I love this scent. It's extremely wearable and I feel gorgeous in it no matter what occasion I choose to wear it. I think it lasts quite well through the day as well. Excellent classic sophisticated choice!

J'dore has a beautiful scent, but it smells so ordinary. Nothing real special. It's just your typical fruity, floral. It has Tangy Mandarin, Ivy leaves, Champaca Flower, Red Orchards, White Roses, Violets, Damascus Plum, Amaranth Wood, and Blackberry Musk. It sounds like a lot of fancy, different, out of the ordinary things, but it smells so ordinary. Still, it does have a beautiful scent.

I am a fan of fruity florals and I must say this is a wonderful scent. It is not overpowering and doesn't smell overly sweet. I wear this one to work or out to dinner.

It's a classic feminine fragrance, sort of the same family of womanly, balanced, pleasant floral fragrances as Gucci's Envy and most of the Estee Lauder's stuff. But unlike the latter, it stands apart - the flowers are a little more unusual and it's just more special. I'd say this is a young woman's fragrance - somewhat fragile and definitely "pretty."

Certainly inoffensive but absolutely not memorable in any way. Just another fruity floral out of hundreds out there. Yawn.

Dior best female fragrance, fresh, fruity + floral. Original and I might say this is a kind of out of the ordinary fragrance, yet ever since Dior introduced J'adore, the other fragrance houses like Armani came out with Sensi, and Lauder with Beyond Paradise which share quite similar scents.

I used to love this when i was younger. It made me feel sofisticated and dressed up. Now I guess my taste has changed slightly. I still like it,but tend not to wear it that often.I think somehow it's a bit too ordinary, because too many people wears this perfume. But when I wear it I get lots of compliments and this one used to be a favourite of an ex of mine. It's a lot of memories attached to this one too, so I get a bit nostalgic when I smell it.So all in all I have mixed emotions about this one.

J'adore is wonderful on my skin, very discret yet very beautiful. I guess this one is very different on different persons. This is the scent I get most compliments for, and I like it very much myself. I must give it a thumb up, cause j'adore J'adore!

Sorry, but my first impression was to run away from the awful stench. Must be my chemistry. I usually like strong scents, but this one was too strong even for me!

A very ordinary scent, unremarkable in any way. It opens on an optimistic note, but then quickly passes through a brief floral/fruity stage and then dries down to something indistinct and powdery. On my skin, it fades very quickly.

Other than a golden, buttery stage this fragrance passes through on the way to the drydown, J'adore is just kind of blah to me. The notes are mandarin, champaca, ivy, orchid, rose, violet, plum, wood and blackberry musk. The florals - predominantly orchid to my nose, obviously laced by ivy - are full and lush, made fruity by the heavy shot of mellow mandarin in the opening and a ripe, abundant plum in the heart. The drydown is also rather plain. I could certainly see how those who adore florals who enjoy this; it's romantic, maybe a little glamourous, a good everyday scent precisely because it doesn't stand out or demand attention or sieze the senses. I would probably be more interested in this if it weren't for the fact that I own something called Signature by S.T. Dupont that is like J'adore amplified. Signature has virtually all the same notes as this one does and some of the same feeling, with the rounded mandarin flowing into a floral heart accented by ivy, but the florals in Signature are more complex and the drydown is far superior to J'adore's.

I adore J’adore. It is floral with woody undertones: it reminds me of fairies dancing in the woods, pipes playing, and a stream babbling away in the background. Can anyone remember ‘parma violet’ sweets? They were rather sickly but had a delightful scent, and to me are reminiscent of childhood days. J’adore is feminine and uncomplicated with ivy and orchid notes. On me is not very strong and lingers, although this may not appeal to anyone preferring something more powerful. Because it is not too overpowering it would suit any age group. The bottle is stylish; I can’t make my mind up if I like it.
