Oh my, this perfume reminds me of being 15 or 16 years old in high school! Back then, after receiving this as a gift, I did not like it. I thought the scent was too drab and cheaply. But after running across this scent in a local grocery store/mall a few days ago, I spritzed it on and immediately loved it! Pre-dry down it smells a little strong and floral, but the dry down smells clean and musky, my favorite scent! So, to not waste money, I brought a little bottle to see if this will turn out to be one of my new "staples"....so far, so good!

Really like this fragrance although I hate the cheap packaging even though it goes with the name, then again it is a cheap as chips fragrance!! When I wear this I always get positive comments people will tell me I smell nice and they are right it is a lovely scent and has great staying power that a lot of more expensive scents dont always have.

I love the packaging...and that's it. I want to like a fragrance that has sage in it, but this is so forced, so pushy. Fragrance equivalent to taking a razor to your speakers and cranking the volume. Reminds me of 7" hairsprayed bangs and Swatch watches en masse. This is not a part of the eighties I want to remember.

I am very surprised that I liked this scent. I remeber my sister buying this years ago and me not being a fan of it. Curiousity struck me and I picked up a bottle recently and fell in love with it. It was not at all like I remembered. My friend on the other hand couldn"t stand it, she prefered Charlie instead (yuck!) I was suprised to see that vanilla was not listed as a note. The notes as listed by Coty are :
Top note: bergamot, sage and neroli
Middle note: amazon lily, orange flower and jasmine
base note: sandalwood, musk amber and vetiver palchoul

Exclamation was one of the scents I was condemned to as a child. It was popular, I received it as a gift, I wore it. I also found it to be overpowering and obnoxious, and too much induced a headache. Over time, my sense of smell has changed, and things I found to be unbearably strong as a child are much less obnoxious to me now. I wonder if I revisited Exclamation if I would have kinder things to say about it?

Nah.

Yucky! Too strong. After awhile it softened to a powder, but I couldn't get past the strong spiciness of it! It was a bit chemical like as well. On another gal it worked well though. I even complimented her on it and was surprised that it was Exclamation.
