The better of the cheap mid-nineties vanilla scents. Vanilla musk is a warm, sweet vanilla, and the musk gives it a nice soft drydown. 21 July 2008

Not a bad vanilla. I liked the Dark Vanilla better. But this was softer, not as sweet as the Dark Vanilla. Still, it was a bit boring. I love musks, but this didn't do anything for me. 09 June 2008

Although this isn't my favorite scent, it is one of the best vanilla-sandalwoods around (a bit of white musk holds the basenotes as well). It is dead cheap, and therefore definitely worth a shot! I've gotten so many compliments when I wear this, from men and women both! The woman who my sleazy ex was sneaking around with made him find out what I was wearing, and adopted it as her own! Geez, so much drama around a cheap perfume! But really, for the buck, it's a great bang. 28 April 2007

Truly not bad at all for a cheapie, but I had to give mine away. The sandalwood predominates on me - I mean total sandalwood that doesn't let up - and it makes me queasy after a while. Still, it's one of the few inexpensive drugstore fragrances that doesn't smell cheesy, imo. There used to be more of them, but most seem have been changed for the worse, alas. 23 March 2006

Definitely one of the nicer vanilla fragrances I've found. Not overly sweet or over-powering. 06 January 2006

Outstanding stuff - high end purists may balk but this bears a not-so-far-removed resemblance to the beloved Collection by Escada fragrance, in all seriousness. The cross-action between the musk and vanilla here give off a cola-like vibe with a lightly effervescent citrusy fizz (cola and mandarin being two of Collection's defining notes, it makes sense the two scents would seem alike.) And Vanilla Musk has the same almost nuttyish sweetness to it that Collection has; what it doesn't have is Collection's tuberose richness or tonka-Bourbon vanilla pipe smokiness. Not a problem, though; this fragrance dries down to a slightly spicy sandalwood richness of its own, and it's really nice. This is a great one by Coty and smells like way, way more than its pricetag. 30 September 2005
