I love this fragrance! It is light & airy which is perfect for warm weather. I never wore it as a young girl but after hearing so much hype about it from so many I people decided to go out and buy a bottle. I chose the body mist instead of the body spray and fell in love with Love.

Ugh. I hated this one, probably because it was foisted on me by my truly "wicked" stepmother, and even at the age of 9 or 10 when I received it, it smelled "babyish" to me. I wasn't allowed to pick my own scent, probably because I might choose something with some personality. This is baby powder in a spray bottle, folks, and that's about it. There's no depth, no drydown, nothing. Even kids deserve better.

Okay, first, the other Love versions stank. The original is the best, even though it smells a bit phony like to me. It's soft and dries to a powder, like baby powder! Duh! Wow! I mean, really, I'd just rather go out and purchase the lotion and powder instead! Nothing exciting here. But, good for the little girls and preteens.

As inexpensive and pretty as it is, I see why it used to be so popular among the teenaged girls in the USA: sweet cotton candy with a touch of strawberries and weighless musk. It does not last long at all, but what a sweet half hour it is when one is going to sleep in a sheer veil of Love's Baby Soft!

Whenever I see colognes marketed for 13-20 year old girls, I think about Love's Baby Soft. When I was 16 years old, this scent came out and I searched vigorously till I was able to find a bottle. Like others have remarked, about Love's other scents, a few years later I moved on to "Eau de Love" which was a really great scent as well. Now that Baby Soft is back, it's a little different, but still very nice. Great for the summer or when you want to feel young again. All I know is, the minute I sprayed it on, I was back in high school and memories of high school are always welcome in my mind.

My first cologne! Brings back great memories. Such a nice, powdery girly smell. This goes right along with "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific"!

In junior high I got the 5-scent set, I think I can even remember them--baby soft, lemon, jasmine, gentle must, and rain! Baby soft was definitely the one my sister's and I used the most. Just so comforting, and even now, not having smelt it in years, it comes right back to mind. Ah..

At the tender age of 12, this was my first fragrance purchase. All my own! My girlfriends were given Avon's Sweet Honesty by their sisters, mothers, aunts and what have you...but I never liked the smell of that one. Love's Baby Soft ended up scenting my dresser drawer liners, stationary, and anything else I could 'mark' with 'my scent'! After this one, I graduated to Love's Fresh Lemon and then to Heaven Sent. Each has truly claimed a place within me and I'm instantly transported there again and again by a mere whiff!

Okay, this has got to be the number one or number two nostalgia scent for those of us who attended junior or high school back in the Seventies/early Eighties. Sweet, soft, soothing with a scent somewhere in between baby powder and baby oil; all I have to do is close my eyes and think about how it smells, without even actually smelling it, and those memories just come flooding back! Sadly, it's been reformulated of late and is not as pretty as it used to be; it's a bit sharper now and more baby shampooey than anything else, which is still nice but not quite as gentle as it once was. (On the upside, the "new" Love's Baby Soft spray bottle is easier to wield than I recall the old splash style bottle being. Or was it Love's Fresh Lemon - another one of my very, very nascient fragrant loves, that came in the splash bottle?) Despite the changes, I continue to wear it from time to time, and still like it quite well for what it is - simple and easy, perpetually young and a whole generation's idea of what a certain time of life smelled like.
