Instant headache potion.
I owned and loved this for a few months when I was 13 or 14, back when it was fashionable. I'm not sure what happened, but overnight I couldn't wear it anymore. I think it is the cloyingly sweet woodsy note that burns itself into my brain and attempts to fry it. Sadly, I now am at the point where I can get physically ill even smelling the *cloud* emanating from someone else wearing it on the street or (god forbid) in a closed space like a train.

I love the fresh blast of the beginning and the soapy-clean dry down, but somewhere in the middle (about 2-4 hours after applying it) it starts smelling like very strong, very plasticky air freshener to me, reminiscent of fresh Gucci Rush. When it's worn by other people I can only smell the nice musky base notes, but it just doesn't work on me.

I don't get the big deal with this fragrance. It seems dated and masculine to me.

I read the Granny Smith top note thingy and thought (THATS IT!!!) It had been bugging me for a while and while it's every chav's favourite stocking filler round where I work, it's also very recognisable and this must surely be why. Modern, female, none-to-intellectual. Were I 16, I'd use it after a PE session, in large quantities. It's a good fragrance for a young girl ot start a collection with

I've never actually tried this on my own skin, but I agree with lalaloquy; it really does seem like every third person is wearing this. I've always really liked this one because, excuse my cliche, it does smell like a "just out of the shower" kind of smell. However, it's got a little bit of a papery element to it. Or cotton balls or something. Am I crazy, or does anyone else smell this?

I love the cedary/ musky base notes, & the way the lighter fruity notes blend with them; on me, the upper notes *mostly* fade off pretty quickly, but what remains of the whole is (mostly) unique (Moschino's I Love Love is similar, & I actually prefer -it-).

However, this scent is **tired**... or at least it was for a long time-- it seemed like every third person was wearing this stuff. Many of these have likely moved on to the next hot scent, but doubtless if you wear it, people will ask, "is that Light Blue...??"

Light Blue starts out beautifully with a Granny Smith apple note providing the zest, a touch of florals, and some very lovely cedar.
Presently, it begins to fade, but is still nice enough. The drydown comes quickly, and a bit of musk lingers.
This would be a nice gift scent if given at the beginning of summer, as most women would make use of it then and appreciate it.

I often get compliments on this when I wear it, but after about 2 hours, I feel like I'm choking. The scent does not leave me for at least 12 hours, despite it being EdP, and using one spritz! The citrusy/jasmine element is what attracted me to it, and then poof - WOOD!

i don't love it, but since i collect perfumes, it can sit in my closet. it has a full bottle in it.. hardly ever would use it i think. anyways, top note with a very nice citrus, and blends to a soft flower scent. some what semi sweet, not too sweet. it's more of a summer fragrance. definetely not for winter.

My son generally loves everything his mama wears. Even Mitsouko. That is, he loves everything except D&G Light Blue. Every time I try this, he screws up his nose and says, “what is this? Poison?” And, ahem, he doesn’t mean Christian Dior’s brand of Poison, either. He means poison as in skulls and crossbones. I don’t think it’s as bad as that, but it’s one I rarely ever wear. My first experience with Light Blue came last Fall when I spritzed some on in a dept store. I was very pleased with the opening notes, especially. Very reminiscent of those luscious notes that open Lanvin’s Eclat d’Arpege. But that’s where the fun ends. After that Light Blue gets heavier and heavier on my skin until I about can’t stand it. Thing is, when I tried it in the dept store, the opening and the drydown were both nice enough that I later purchased a mini to try out at home. Well, my subsequent experiences with Light Blue have not been all that positive, and, according to my son, not positive at all. Still, I’m giving this a neutral because too many women pull this off quite nicely. But it’s a bit heavy for my tastes.
