The deoderant for this is wonderful. It gives just a little bit of scent without being overwhelming, and keeps releasing during the day. I'm definitely a fan of non-offensive perfumes and this fits the bill. For everyday use, I used to wear Glow all the time, but this deoderant has taken its place. It's also a little bit deeper than Glow. But if Glow made a deoderant, I would switch back.

When I first smelled the actual perfume, I didn't like it because it smelled like chemistry class (benzene rings, which they actually told us was a common ingredient in perfume). However, this smell isn't as prevalent in the deoderant, and eventually I got used to it. On me, the chemical smell wears off after about 10-15 minutes and leaves a nice warm scent.

Another reviewer suggested Burberry Brit. That smells terrible on me, it actually smells dirty. 2 out of five. Cashmere Mist is a 4/5 on me. Other comparisons: Glow is 5/5, Shalimar is 4/5, and Blue Grass (Elizabeth Arden) 5/5.

This scent reminds me of a slightly classier version of a cheap white musk, which I happen to love but don't wear very often (I prefer to use them as air freshner). It is fairly one dimensional, light, pleasant, with a skin warmth. DH says on a 13 year old girl he would find it appropriate, but not on a woman. I wouldn't go that far. I would wear it if I were ultra casual and I knew company was comming over during the day on the weekend, or to freshen up at the end of a work day if I had to run the kids to ball practice. It would do the "nicey nice" thing very well, but I usually make my frags work harder than that.

I like it OK, it's soft, creamy, light.. It's good on a summer day especially if you're running out the door and need to refresh a bit because you can wear a lot of it and it won't be overbearing. You do smell like you stepped out of the shower; almost borders on a body spray IMHO . I don't know anyone who finds this fragrance offensive, so it's a good choice when you want to go "light," like at a job interview or visiting someone who is sensitive to scents. There is something I like a lot about the drydown because it smells like Jovan's Eau Fresh. That's really its appeal to me, to be honest.

I assume that Victoria's Secret's "Dream Angels Heavenly" is trying to be Cashmere Mist, only it's a cheaper, more chemical version of it and certainly not nearly as classy or nice (VS says their version is the biggest selling perfume in the US, but I doubt that.). Lucky Brand #6 also reminds me of CM ... the Lucky Brand version has a little spice added which makes it a bit more interesting and less "safe" than CM.

Soft florals, amber and woods = a scent like buttery suede. This scent is a one-liner, but It was pretty enough to make me keep wanting to smell the back of my hand.

This smells like it sounds - like someone spray-painted a classic cashmere jumper on you.

That'd probably feel quite comfortable to the wearer (and certainly, this is a comfort-blanket kind of scent). I'm not convinced it's a perfume worth waxing lyrical about though. This is one of the weaker scents by the Donna Karan label, in more ways than one.

Cashmere Mist is too one-dimetioned for me, it comes out as just one smell all the time. Comforting, yes, and not too sweet, but nothing exciting at all. I will have to let this one pass by...
