I can see why some people are underwhelmed, but I think this is very nice. It's taken me all these years to try Cashmere Mist - I have no idea why, just wasn't that interested and never got around to it. The bottle does not attract me. Now, after having sprayed a bit from a tester for the first time, I can't stop sniffing the back of my hand. It really does give you a fuzzy soft cashmere impression. And it smells like soap a bit, but it dries down a tad more interesting than that. It's certainly long lasting, and I like its airness and powderiness. Smells familiar, too, so there's a cozy nostalgia element involved. One of the few white/floral musks I've tried that settles comfortably on my skin. 13 August 2009

Smells like lazy day for not doing much, no thinking or physical work, just still, trying to get warm. On long travel in cold weather it's comforting, but for a passionate or productive day, Cashmere hardly triggers creativity. 08 June 2009

I can't really smell this which must be a musk anosmia. I recommend testing. 12 May 2009

This is not my favorite scent, but I find it wearable. It is o.k. and it does smell nice. I would catergorize this as a powder fragrance. It is one dimensional with a predominate note of powder mixed with a very faint spiced note on my skin. I find it innofensive, airy, light, and soft...perfect for a hot day. I wear CM when I want a "SAFE" fragrance choice. It is a feminine/ girly scent, and reminds me of a baby (the powder note). I give it a 3 out of 5 because it it is wearable, but I don't think it is for me. I wouldn't purchase CM again...but if you like powdery fragrances, give this one a try. 30 April 2009

Cashmere Mist is the olfactory apotheosis of a pure femininity. Its rich creamy, soapy smell makes me almost want to wear it, but this is definitely not a unisex fragrance. I have identified it on others, it stands out so gorgeously. Lofty and luscious, this is a ravishingly innocent scent. 16 January 2009

I don't think this is one of the 'greats,' but it is definitely a warm, slightly spicy, powdery scent that is enjoyable. I am fine with the one-dimensionality of it, to me this is the fragrance equivalent of mac & cheese. It's not gourmet or impressive, but for what it is it is very good and sometimes you are in the mood and that is what you want. Worthy of being in the wardrobe. 11 January 2009
