I like and own this (and may back it up too as prices at discounters are low).It is a nice casual all around fragrance .
My mother likes it too .This is a fragrance I intend to gift to others around me (Mom,maybe Grams,etc.)as it is so pleasant to be around.

On the clean and sweet side of the Oriental Woody genre, in my experience. I could imagine this perfume suiting a variety of women. It's feminine in a pretty and indistincy sort of way, not overly sweet...
Raspberry in the base notes seems to keep it very girly, and it's something I rarely come across. When I wear this, I don't feel like I smell like flowers--which is both a good thing and a bad thing(a well-done natural floral fragrance is divine!) It's an acceptable woman's perfume, I couldn't imagine people holding their noses upon encountering a woman who wears this, but I wouldn't call it a sexy perfume...It doesn't strike me that way, but I have yet to hear male feedback on it....The description I've read about Ellen Tracy EDP as "almost preppy" seems fitting to me, and describes why I couldn't ever call a fragrance like this my signature scent, nor is it a must-have....

Ellen Tracy is hard to pin down because it seems to be trying its hand at everything. Aromatic flowers, fruits, oriental accords, aldehydes...I give up. It's a Chypre-Floriental! It's like a perfect host at a dinner party, serving and pleasing and smiling and accommodating, timely, friendly, concerned, leaving nobody out of the social web. This would make for ideal office wear because it strikes me as the type of scent that not only fits in, but successfully ingratiates itself with those around it. Masterfully done, and among the finest discount store fragrances one could ask for.

Sweet floral with fruits that's not abundant in those accords. It's very mellow and not very strong. There's a bitter note in here that's similar to the smell of various cosmetics (make-up, lipstick, etc.) and fells like it should be there. I assume it's a tonka bean. Along with a woodsy musk to round out the scent, Ellen Tracy is an inexpensive fragrance to get your hands on.

This is a very nice fragrance that gives every indication that it is an excellent choice and a comfortable wear: It has very nice and endearing accords, and it has good longevity. The cinnamon / peach / rose opening is a well-balanced and refined presentation. The floral middle and sandalwood / tonka base perform perfunctorily. It is a pleasant feminine fragrance that is not too anything: not too spicy or floral or sweet, and certainly not too expensive. Well done, well made, dependable, trustworthy.

This a a review of the Linda Allard limited edition of Ellen Tracy.
The secret of this perfume is in the drydown. The opening is rather harsh and aldehydic, but it soon melds to my skin in the way a cat finds a lap it likes and refuses to budge.
Excellent longevity and a warm, enticing oriental feel to it.
