A sunny, summery white flowers fragrance, that is nice but a bit formulaic. A bit thin in the middle notes. Anyone who likes white flowers would most likely be satisfied with this - nothing groundbreaking though.

Soleil is a pleasant light floral that, I suppose, is meant as a summer scent. The dominant floral I find is orange blossom, followed in strength by jasmine, and these two, with maybe some help from the rose, form a soft and interesting tense / relaxed accord. I find the white floral accord quite subtly and intriguingly presented: The accord seems so delicate. It’s would have been a total winner if they had left the fragrance with just that and its pleasant amber and sandalwood base. But they added an aquatic note (I think it’s there on purpose, but, who knows?) and that note just doesn’t sit well with me because it adds a synthetic tone to an otherwise natural feeling floral. I find the aquatic note annoying and disconcerting, but the fragrance is otherwise quite good.

Fragonard’s Soleil is a generic sweet-smelling “perfumey floral” with no obvious single note and seems targeted directly to the mass market, especially to the kind of person that wants a safe, inoffensive perfume. The boringness of the perfume is a real shame because Soleil’s bottle has a stylish hammered gold cap in the shape of a star which sits atop an artfully textured glass bottle and looks like something you might find in a chic little shop in the South of France.

According to Fragonard’s website, here are Soleil’s notes: jasmine, orange blossom, lily, rose, iris, wisteria, amber, sandalwood and musk.

I bought Soleil for my sister she used to wear Paris from YSL.
Soleil is an Eau de parfum so it does hold very well.
It is a very complex scent it does start very flowery nearly sweet and after 5 minutes then it start to give you all its heart
The jasmin and the lilly in my opinion are the 2 flowers that are fighting and I do love the sweet fresh and warmth it gives.
It dies with warmth like the sun but je jasmin and lilly are still here sleeping.
It is a great feminin eau de parfum
For a young and young at heart women that likes something different.
SUPERB

My favorite fragrance *EVER*. Light and feminine, floral and citrus-y, but definately not the overwhelming "flowery" of many floral scents. First purchased this while at the Fragonard factory in Grasse, France, and have been hooked ever since. Hard to find here in the US, but worth the effort to locate. I've found it on line (eau de toilette) from Melange4women.com @ $52 for the spray. A 7ml mini will run about $15. Well worth the price, the scent lasts all day.
