Fragrance Profile

Mania (original) (1999)
by Giorgio Armani

Basenotes says...

A shortlived fragrance. It was packaged in black packaging, and was often thought of to be a man's fragrance. This version was discontinued and relaunched in 2004, with a new scent and a much more feminine bottle.

This one seems pretty enough, but has NO sillage and NO lasting power on me. I wish I had takemyhusbandplz's experience of incense, spice, and woods, but I didn't. The citrusy top notes were the strongest. It wears like soft, watered down rose and vanilla on me. I couldn't discern much else because it was so weak.

I adore this fragrance. I gave it to my sister for her birthday many years ago, and we were both heartbroken when it was discontinued.

The Mania "Original" with Black CAP. I must to say is the best Fragance that i used. Im still looking in the Galleries to find another one beacause it is not in production anymore. Is light years the best fragance of armani. I remember all the times that i used it, and no one girl pass close to me without tell me something or look me with cat eyes. If you can find it, PLEASE bought it!! Is very long lasting and improve with the pass of the hours. Indicated For Parties or High Meetings. AND THE MANIA ORIGINAL WITH BLACK TOP IS FOR MEN!! (THE GRAY TOP IS FOR WOMEN)

Liked this fragrance alright...It had some sort of note in it that made me smell stale, which is a big NO NO...You can't make mommy smell bad and expect to stay in the starting line-up. I much prefer the new mania to this one.

I own a little bottle of this now discontinued fragrance. What attracted me the most was the fact that now it's gone and the notorious dark appearance of it. Its smell is very woodsy, typical Armani fragrance.

A cross between Feminite du Bois and Donna Karan Chaos. Woodsy, earhthy, unusual with a drydown like Japanese incense. Light years better than the reworked version.
