  |  Halston was a present from a friend a long time ago. It was instant love at first wiff. The woody notes would eventually round out to something else by the end of the day and it was almost like putting on a new perfume - warm and inviting. I wore it for a number of years and moved on to another fragrance,18 April 2008 |
 | I love this one! I have even got compliments from people who dislike fragrance when wearing it. I own the perfume verison and it is dry woody and has a clean freshness. Even the next day your clothes still linger with Halston and still smell fresh. 23 March 2007 |

| I got this as a stocking stuffer just for love of the bottle. (And yes, I know better.) The mini bottle will eventually become a pendant on silk cording, I love it so much, but only after I use it all. As I can still smell the earthy refrain the next morning in my hair, God knows how long this will take. Yes, it is cloying at first, but put this on in the morning when you have a hot date after work. Wow. The 70's must have been so sexy! 15 January 2007 |
 |  This is one that I highly suggest you test before purchasing because it is very, very, strong. It is the most woody fragrance I have smelled and I love wood, but it took me a while to get used to it because of it's strength and heaviness. It does smell better the longer it is on, but please remember to sample first.09 November 2006 |
 | I have a definite love/hate relationship with this puppy. I mean, on one hand, it's a rich and woody scent that (IMHO) could be classified as unisex. (Also, along with Youth Dew and Tea Rose, it remains a perennial favorite for making sachets and drawer liners around my house.) But all that aside, the violet notes can -- and sometimes do -- just bowl me over. (WOW -- talk about cloying!) I still keep coming back to this one, and often buy it for my aunt (she loves it even more). Still, the first 30 minutes after application always make me want to put a clothespin on my nose. |  I absolutely ADORE the bottle...but the fragrance...oh so sorry to all you Halston lovers out there...there is something in it that makes me so ill! | Halston is a fragrance I've complimented many friends and co-workers on over the years. It has a soft, fresh woodsiness that lends an aire of class - without any snootiness. I have tried to wear this one on numerous occasions, but every time I do; I end up smelling like wood shavings in a hamster cage. I've gone as far as to spritz it only on my clothing, but after a short while it's back to the same old rodent cage. The bottle design is awesome! I also LOVE Elsa Peretti's jewelry line for Tiffany - very classy! 23 May 2006 |

| I have had the same large bottle of Halston for well over 6 years, and it is still as fresh as it was the day I bought it. I should wear it more often! Deep, woody and smooth, this is perfect for autumn. It was a 'power' scent for me, when I knew I'd be facing a tough day, or have to do something I didn't want to. I don't think I ever received one compliment on it, I wore it for myself only. Writing this has awakened my feelings for it; I will wear it again this next fall. 14 May 2006 |

| Classic true chypre - refreshing, exhilarating and down to earth. Halston isn't romantic or delicate. Halston is woodsy and solid. It makes me feel like I'm walking through the woods on a cool brisk fall day. LOVE IT! Also Halston's bath powder (not the talc) is wonderful and very richly scented. 13 February 2006 |
