  |  A floral, aldehydic, woody, ambery concoction, Hanae Mori Haute Couture is quite a disappointing fragrance – for some reason I had expected more. The EDT is powdery and amorphous and completely lacking distinction – overly complicated and underly organized. The notes lack separation and the whole fragrance seems poorly assembled. True, the notes give no hint of synthetics or cloying headiness, but, still, I had expected a more sophisticated scent from the maker of HM. Haute Couture is powdery and missing out on any hint of anything special or unique; this one is a loser.10 March 2008 |
