why they didn't create some elixir version of it!

This is quite simply a lovely, driftingly light and lemon-y scent (notes of mandarin, melon & mimosa, actually), perfect for day wear. It stays close to the skin and yet people do notice when I wear it. I've worn it since 2004 and it has never failed to garner compliments.

I think the unfavorable review on this page may really be for J. del Pozo's "Duende", which is a much more processed scent, heavier than Esencia and not as natural. (And actually is a scent I don't care for, either.) Esencia is indeed an "essence"; light, sunny, entirely feminine, and refreshing.

Not my fav. Too strong, too fresh, a bit masculine, acid, offensive, like an old fashioned eau de cologne + sulfurous depilation cream note + Nivea craem note + linden blossom (little). It is quite similar to "VV" by Roberto Verino, but VV is more wearable in my opinion.

Nevermind my other review below - it was meant for the original Duende. Essencia is a dreamy light white musk scent with transparent florals, very similar to Bulgari Pour Homme (yes, pour Homme)...Whereas Bulgari emphasized an earl grey tea accord, Esencia offers white petals (jasmine? peony?)...I love it and it's a staple in my collection.
