Basenotes says...

The second-largest fragrance launch ever, after cK One. Jennifer "Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got" Lopez's first foray into the fragrance world smells a little like China Rain to many. Lopez was apparently a big fan of it.

Glow is a very agreeable fragrance. I like that it exhibits a good measure of discretion and subtlety. It’s a safe, nicely put together white floral that is somewhat soapy and performs dependably – it can be quite beautiful with the right chemistry. It dries down powdery and sweet, and I never seen that as a problem in a feminine fragrance. Excellent longevity.

What was the tag - 'fresh, sexy, clean'? There's nothing too nasty here to my nose, just a simple scent that didn't really seduce me in any way. It's almost veering towards sickening territory for me but it's not quite there so I'll give it a neutral.

I love this scent. It's subtle and you can't put on too much of it.

I only wish that
1) was that there could be a slightly deeper version for evening wear. I've tried Miami Glow (too much like sunscreen) and Glow After Dark (a little too much like Angel to be subtle). Finally switched to Cashmere Mist for evenings (which is still subtle but a little warmer). It's not as fabulous with my chemistry as Glow, but it's the effect I'm going for.
2) a stick deoderant version, like there is for Cashmere Mist. I would wear it constantly.

Other perfumes that work on me: Blue Grass and Shalimar.

This perfumes says, "I'm sorry, I want to wear perfume, but I don't want to offend anyone, so can I wear a little, faint, apologetic fragrance like this?" It went on soft and a little powdery, then it thinned out and shrank into the background, like a faint, clean musk and weak white floral contraption, all the while trying to be non-threatening.

At first i thought this perfume was not to my liking but i started smelling it on other people and i loved it.
I took a leap of faith and gave it a try. I am truly in love with this fragrance. When i wear this fragrance people compliment me all the time and cannot believe it when i tell them what i am wearing. I really think this is a unique fragrance and for those of you out there who originally were not that crazy about it, i suggest that you give it a second smell and see where it takes you.

I cannot abide this perfume. To me, on me and on others it smells like cheap cleaner of some sort. There is also a large hint of insecticide lurking around. And it makes me headachey and nauseous. Just like all the Avon perfumes there is something in this fragrances that triggers some sort of allergic reaction. Oh well another added to my never wear list.
