Fleur de Lotus (1996)

I bought this for my wife a couple of years ago principally as a nod to the significance of the flower in Buddhism ( she is Japanese). It seemed pretty strong on first impression but, once she started wearing it, I was able to pick up the complexity behind the intial floral notes. It smells great on her - a bit of a creamy camellia or frangipani followed by a light grassy tail. The staff at L'Occitane here in Japan tell me it is out of production so she is hanging on to the remainder and using sparingly.

Fleur de Lotus is very sheer, light, fresh, clean & watery fragrance. It reminds me of a spring day when the first flowers are blooming & the air is clean & crisp.
