I smelled this of a friend and I loved it so I bought it for my sister and she enjoys it aswell. It's a very smooth feminine and sofisticated scent. I would say it's very safe aswell because it's so pleasant. I think it's an all year 'round fragrance. However I see a girl who's over 18 years old wearing this because it's so sofisticated. Longevity is okay I guess, I'm not sure because I don't wear it :-)

Lacoste pour Femme is a soft scent throughout it's short duration. A soft peppery opening transitions into gentle white flowers. The soft theme continues into the base, which is woods with a bit of incense.

This is a perfectly acceptable fragrance, and would be considered safe for most occasions. It is pretty and inoffensive. But in the end, that is exactly what gives it a neutral rating from me.

I have always considered myself very balanced, in terms of my ability to appreciate a massive cultural gamut of artistic modes, from the utmost avant garde, polished, "artsy fartsy", and cultured artistic efforts to the more quotidian charms, sincerity, and heart of more "mundane", and common forms of entertainment. In this way, I feel I have naturally avoided becoming too snobbish or too focused away from potentially pleasurable experiences.

For example: One of my great passions is cinema. I actively seek out as many art films and "critically acclaimed" masterpieces as I can find time for. But at the same time, I love a good laugh, and I am not "picky" about what makes me happy. In fact, my short list of top movies includes naughty, profane classics like "Naked Gun" and "Jabberwocky"!

That said, I discovered about myself recently that this quality of mine, the ability to enjoy experiences from all manner of source, heedless of class associations, has not translated to my perfume fascination!! In fact, I realized that I am something of a fragrance elitist.

I had the revelation last month, when I experienced guilt about falling in love with "Lacoste Pour Femme" at my local ULTA. I thought at first, "This cannot be!", "I must be having an off day..", etc. I was totally unwilling to embrace the greatness of a fragrance as popular and widely available as this Lacoste.

When I got home, I found myself smelling my wrist compulsively. And I came to accept its greatness, and to reconcile the notions of commonness and quality. I also came to the comfortable conclusion that I intend to wear it a lot, even if 2 out of 5 women smell just like me. I love it, dammit. And I want to tell the world!

"Lacoste Pour Femme" is a top notch peppery suede with a perfect balance of creaminess and lightness. It's character is totally relaxed, yet fashionable. Totally delicate, yet self-assured. It would be suitable for almost any age group and so many occasions. It's the perfect choice for less dressy affairs, and yet is not at all frigid. No, it couldn't be bottled up as niche and fool the connoisseur or prestige-seeker. But it is a truly feminine modern classic, the paragon of its genre, and I pray it remains unchanged and available for years to come.

Finally, I am in the process of broadening my proverbial horizons, perfume-wise, and I intend to revisit as well as contemplate with fresh "eyes", many more widely-accepted and prevailing, newer, simpler fragrances.

And I dare say, I'll be smelling a bit different.

This is a soft and slightly sweet powdery perfume. The opening is a little peppery and dries into a woodsy powdery scent. Lasts for a decent time, too.

the jasmine and freesia are predominant in this one. the sandalwood takes over in the dry down. all in all, a very safe, unoffensive, perfume.
the lasting power is almost non existent though.
if you like soft sensuous florals with a sandalwood base, you should try this one.

It's warm, it's soft, it's elegant, it's Lacoste Pour Femme.

I love the way the bottle, the box, and the add represent both the fragrance and Lacoste as a brand so well. Its really well done. But the smell itself appears hard to classify. Some call it 'warm and romantic' and a girl I know called it 'sophisticated'. On me, Lacoste smells soft and warm, I really like to wrap that around me. Unfortunatelly saleswomen tend to call it 'fresh and flowery' and they start to bring on scents that are really nothing like it. I've been trying for some time now to find a fragrance like it, but I haven't succeeded so far.

I wear it daytime, but also have used it for a night out. People who notice the smell are pretty impressed by it. I never had a negative comment on this perfume, and this is the only perfume I have which pulled that off. (My entire family has a picky nose)

It stays a few hours but could be better, thats the only slightly negative thing I can think off.
