Éclat d'Arpège has been a staple go-to fragrance for me this summer, and it has been a miserably hot and long one. I was aware of having tried and liked it before, but I finally purchased a bottle earlier this year and I'm SO glad I did. It is somewhat similar to Light Blue, I agree, but not as intensely lemony. Éclat d'Arpège has more delicacy and floralcy. It is refreshing but very feminine as well, imo. I like the combination of the citrus and lilac/wisteria in the beginning. I don't find it short lived. It is subtle, releasing little whiffs of fragrance hours later. Considering its pastel / water color character, it has remarkable tenacity (the woods and musk in the base, which are soft but long lasting). I love the beautiful lilac color of the liquid, I love the bottle design and its gold emblem, resting inside the acrylic presentation box - the whole package and the fragrance itself are very, very well done. Photos don't do the actual packaging justice, imo.

I purchased (blind) Éclat d'Arpège today. My immediate impression is that it reminds me of Bulgari Omnia Crystalline. It's a really lovely pale slightly milky(?) subtle woody floral that I will continue to enjoy wearing. I love it when a random purchase lands me a jewel.

Great, great scent. It's light, but sooo sexy. I wish similar fragrance for man. If I won't find, will start with woman's version. Love it!

Eclat d'Arpege is a really delicate fruity floral. I'm not usually a fruity floral girl, however I am impressed with this fragrance.

A little crisp, but mostly soapy and clean, Eclat d'Arpege won't attack you with any sharp citrus notes. It is perfectly balanced with the fruits and flowers coming together in harmony.

It is somewhat similar to D&G Light Blue, just without the strong lemon opening and the cedary, pencil shaving drydown. I prefer Eclat d'Arpege over Light Blue any day.

The fragrance has a slight aquatic feel in the opening, however towards the drydown the powdery woodsy notes deplete this sense of watery freshness.

Unfortunately this fragrance doesn't last very long, however I often find that this is the case with most fruity florals that are on the softer side. Despite the poor lasting strength I still recommend Eclat d'Arpege as a nice choice for Summer for those that want something simple and pretty.

The presentation of this Eau De Parfum is gorgeous! The packaging is absolutely stunning - I love the light purple tint the bottle gives off. Unfortunately, the parfum itself is nothing more than a later version of D&G's Light Blue in a much nicer presentation. Of course I have to say I love it because I do; however, I loved it just as much before it got all dressed up and used another name.

This has the same fruity woods I detect in a lot of men's fragrances: Del Mar Seychelles, Mont Blanc Starwalker, Armani Diamonds... the drydown of Polo Explorer... also it's very similar to YSL's Elle.

Eclat starts of with a tart fruity note and dries down into an ambery woods. Light and gentle, I like it.
