Venezia Pastello (1995)

A soft, feminine, rosey, joyful and romantic fragrance, a soapy and less dense  version  of the original Venezia which formula is here lightened by the usage of watery flowers, citrus, dusty eliotrope and cloudy white musk. The chord of the last two elements softens utterly the fragrance casting a cloudy final bed. The original usage of balsams is here toned down while the fruity dosage is reinforced with a notable amount of fruits of forest as raspberries, cranberries and blackcurrant. The citrusy water enhances the fluidity while the woody final presence is very faint. A very light, pleasant and delicate concoction with a musky soul, a flying consistence and a soft rosey and fruity (berries) feel.

This is without a doubt the most delightfully soft, candied floral scent I've ever encountered. I have yet to find a Laura Biagiotti fragrance that is anything less than wonderful. The fruity notes remain light and airy; I'm afraid I can't identify any single notes, other than (perhaps) peony, silk tree flower, and something that reminds me of sweet wisteria. Unfortunately, Pastello has been discontinued, and is rather pricey. (Yes, I'm saving my money...but oh, it will indeed be worth every penny.)
