Les Belles de Ricci - Délice d'Épices / Spicy Delight (1999)

Délice d'Épices starts as a fruity-floral. The most prominent top notes are apple and cherry. Then come the flowers and spices - mostly clove and cinnamon. The fragrance is spicy, but not too oriental, fruity, but not in the usual fruity-floral style. It reminded me of an apple decorated with pieces of spices; you smell the fresh apple, then the provocative blend of spices, apple again, spices... Délice is soft, somewhat weak (Les Belles are eau de toilettes). The dry down is vanilla, musk and cedarwood. A great fragrance to wear on Christmas :)
Who will like this fragrance? If you like oriental and sweet gourmet fragrances, but your head and stomach won't let you wear them, get Délice d'Épices, a very light spicy oriental with fresh apple. It would also be great in winter, when we make ourselves a hot tea, stir it with a piece of cinnamon and study a book with christmas recipes. In summer the fragrance will give you a provocative breath of something that you wouldn't expect in summer ("I smell fruit, well... but where do the spices come from?"). I would recommend it to younger women and girls.
The dry down is pretty simple, light, as in all Belles. But with a more solid base it would lose it's lightness.
