Reviews of Héliotrope Blanc

From the open window potted Heliotropes cast shadows on the old stone floor;
a warm breeze stirs the scent of bitter almonds.

A young Victorian woman sets buttery sweet vanilla biscuits to cool on the wooden table, the curves of her body move inside her white floral summer dress.

The baby's perambulator sits in the yard as somewhere outside the cat scratches in the dirt.

She sits and waits and reads The Imp of the Perverse by Edgar Allen Poe.

Soft powdery vanilla scent of heliotrope and with both excellent sillage and longetivity. Although sold as a "lotion," it is the equivalent of an edt for me in its strength and staying power. Extremely inexpensive ($10-12) and a wonderful splash for after shower or bath at any time of the year. A real find and available everywhere it seems. One of three Piver lotions revived and available for contemporary purchase.

Uncompromisingly talky but with that rooty touch of aromatic green proper of the wonderful heliotrope. It reminds me far more Ambre et Vanille by Ecoudray than the notorious more tasty (almost gourmand) Heliotrope Etro. A cloudy and ancestral blend of heliotrope, powdery woods, dry flowers and amber. Dreamy and  confortable unisex fragrance. Likeable.

Lovely take on heliotrope -- enfolds you in it's warmth. A man could easily pull this off -- I mean the Etro version is 'unisex' and this retails at a third of the price for 100ml. Les Senteurs have it along with a few others from Piver.

Highly recommended!

I found a bottle of this in my local TKMaxx for a ridiculous price (£8.00). It was a revelation!! I already love the smell of heliotrope - warm and almondy, but this is also tinged, albeit very faintly, with ylang ylang and jasmine. The initial floral notes die down to a warm vanilla/almond/baby powder mixture. I love to wear this to work, as it is very subtle and not at all obtrusive. Doesn't last too long on me - a few hours, but at this price I can re-apply it often. All in all a gorgeous, feminine scent.
