I love this fragrance in the fall! Why? I'm not quite sure. It may be the amber/rose combo, or it may be that I received it as a gift in autumn, so perhaps its an association. Regardless, I love it! Its crisp, clean, and not too overpowering. Great work scent. 17 August 2008

The rose in this is well-done, similar to Lancome's Mille et Une. MeU faded too fast to soft spice & hardly any rose, Stella stays rosy but this composition seems too cold in feel... like modern metal chairs or a funky metal sculpture.. shiny, angular & not inviting, at least to me. I'm more a dark library w big upholstered chairs & softly gleaming wood kinda gal. Tried 3x but couldn't get comfortable. 15 August 2008

Reminds me of my grandmother's rose garden after rainfall. The longevity is very good and the scent softens down to an almost turkish delight smell. On my friends though the scent seems to smell very different and the longevity is poor. Guess it just comes down to chemistry! Definitely my favourite. 29 July 2008

My first whiff of Stella conjured up an impression of a beautiful rose fragrance and I immediately wondered why I hadn't tried it before. The top notes of Stella are sheer warm roses with a touch of lemon verbena. Gorgeous. However, after 15-20 minutes into the testing, the Stella scent kind of died on my wrist and there was really nothing left to smell. I've never had this happen with an EDP before and it was very strange. Tried it twice and got the same reaction both times. 25 April 2008

For me, this deep rosey potion is not good. I must give credit for a very complex and interesting evolution, as it does have several distinct phases. (Because of this, I suggest you sample Stella awhile before deciding if it's "you".) On my skin, each series of notes was offensive with the heart notes being the least disgusting. On a more positive note, Stella Rose Absolute is a more wearable rose fragrance ~ I would recommend it above the original Stella. 17 April 2008

I'm sorry, but this is a lovely fragrance, I'll admit. However it is wayyyy too strong for my liking !! The drydown doesn't seem to make it a little lighter either. Really is a good fragrance, but it doesn't work well w/my chemistry at all. Been sitting on my dresser for about 3 and a half years at least. 14 January 2008
