One of my absolutely favorite fragrances ...
I love the complexity ...
I agree with F_A...
very warm, light and heavy at the same time, spicy and sweet fragrance.smoke of incenses....

Could a fragrance actually convey a color..??
Yohji for me is the color of Indigo!
a unique color ..much like this fragrance

* In line with the other colors of the 'purple family,' indigo was also a color of nobility and aristocracy. In the Elizabethan times, People of distinction and class only were allowed to wear this color. '
* In chromotherapy índigo assumes narcotic properties, eliminating the fear of darkness as well as to treat certain mental and emotional disorders.
* According to Hinduism -
Indigo is the color associated with the The Third Eye Chakra is located in the center of the head behind your eyebrows. This Chakra is related to our ability to perceive clearly. Intuition, insight, and imagination are also associated with this Chakra.

Somehow ...Yohji
manages to convey all of
Indigo's Unique Color Meaning and Symbolisms as a Fragrance...

Amazingly it makes me feel distinctive and rich..
there is a narcotic thrill in its complex smell...
"makes my heart pound a little harder"
and yet I utterly feel incredibly at peace with myself...

This is a Fragrance that demands be experienced .. not just smelled!

Yohji is a mistery to me. I received this perfume in my stock after it had been discontinued and was not aware of the huge following.I became aware of it when my clients went bonkers finding out I had it in stock! For the lonest time, I hesistated trying it, as after sniffing it on a card, I was just not into it at all.
Sprayed into my skin was an entire different story! Upon the 1st spray I thought" this is too strong, not going to work on me!" within 15 minutes the dry down was there, and I smelled so good I couldn't help sniffing myself. but then the scent lingers for hours, but what sold me was that the next morning when I woke up I could still smell the scent !
This is a vanillic ambery green perfume,it's captivating, and once you get to the dry down, believe me, it smells like nothing else.
I have a 100 ml bottle that I will treasure for as long as I can !

I wish Yamamoto would bring this fragrance back. It was vanilla but at its most perfect and sexy. Please bing it back!

half a bottle of this appeared in my drawer one day, and while the initial notes are wonderful, actually wearing it gives me a headache and the feeling that I have dowsed myself in brandy. No wonder it was anonymously left in my dresser!

I used to wear this constantly. It is definitely a warm vanilla-y amber-y mixture but with an extraordinary green note that punches you in the face...it always smelled a little bit plastic to me, in a good way. The sweetness is tempered, it isn't the sort of thing that will turn you off, or it didn't me, anyway. In fact, based on the smell of YY, my boyfriend hunted down YY for men, and loved it. mmmm.

I don't really know what to say about Yohji because it's the scent most close being my signature if I had one. The top notes are green, freshly mown grass, then it gradually turns into amber-vanilla, not heavy sweet ice cream kind of vanilla but something more like vanilla tea. Yohji is a very seductive scent, but in a sneaky way, he'll never know what hit him, LOL! No other scent I wear has received so many compliments as Yohji, both from males and females. It's also incredibly long-lasting, at least on my skin the EdT stays well over 24 hours!
