So sad. Bought my son this fragrance at A&F. I liked it immediately, and after "borrowing his," I bought the scent for my use. It is a wonderfully earthy, woodsy frgrance, that is light, but complex. Always brings comments from women, if lightly used. It does have staying power. 17 May 2008

It is interesting to read the comments about this scent, it seems that I am experiencing something rather different. I see no similarity to old war-horses like Aramis or Trussardi Uomo. I find the spices to be light rather than deep, the wood to be fresh rather than resinous. I agree that Woods is fresh, clean, even a bit soapy. This is not the woodiest log in the pile, by any stretch of the imagination. It is a pleasant, subtle, mildly rich citrus-spice-wood experience. I enjoy it but don't expect the earth to move when I wear it. 09 April 2008

such a wonderful frag...not sure why A&F would discontinue it. It was a wonderful seller and to replace it with Ezra Fitch which is HORRIBLE. I dont get it. So sad to lose such a great smell 03 November 2007

I used this scent from 1993 to 2006 - until A&F discontinued it! Argh. Let's all email them to ask for it back. It was perfect for me, and everyone loved it on me. I tried Aramis and Michael Kors as main blurb states - no way! Not even close! Aramis could knock a house over. Curious to try Trussardi Uomo, as someone else mentions - but I did go to a half-dozen perfume specialty stores in Boston, trying out everyone's NOSE - with my bottle of almost-empty Woods in tow! Many misses - the closest I found were two by Kenneth Cole - close, but not quite right - Cole Signature and Cole Black. 29 September 2006

I recall wearing this to a job interview/seminar four years ago. One of the employees I was talking to stepped away from me for a brief moment to do something. Seconds later, she comes right back to me to conversate some more. It must have been this scent that captivated her senses. It is a very woody, sweet-sexy fragrance that's suited for a mature man. Only problem is you have to reapply this scent, does not last long. 27 April 2006

Wood formal enough aroma, I use it not often, but in I can name its sound and courageous, sometimes it very much does not suffice. All its notes are placed in typically American manner, it not strongly varies but thus does not tire. Aramis Tuscany its senior brother. 29 November 2005

This is a definite winner. To my nose, it's similar in several ways to Trussardi Uomo. Not formal, but a going-out fragrance of the first order. It has great staying power and tremendous sillage. Besides, it's also a babe-magnet! 13 October 2005

despite the fact that everyone and their mother has this scent (though not as popular as the regular Abercrombie, i don't think the teeny boppers can handle something that isn't 75% fresh), i still enjoy it. this stuff is just really manly to me. imagine your in a dense forest of fir trees in the mountains warming up by the fireplace in a blanket or just opening the front door to a snowy morning. its smells of fragrant wood at the beginning then theres a tinge of soapy freshness that seeps its way through after the drydown. its a nice balance of fresh and fragrant wood. the only downside is after about 6 hours the wood fades away and your left with something that smells like some cheap drugstore generic brand. other than that i'm a fan. this is the way clean men should smell! 24 August 2004
