Another love at first sniff frag . Super rich , complex & very masculine . Nothing synthetic or cloying . A little secret I will share to those lucky enough to venture this deep researching this sleeper . This my friends came before Santos & Caron's 3rd Man , and these two others I believe were crafted , mixed & released with the same results in mind . They both came close first Santos , which is like a brother but is a lot weaker hence the Concentree that followed . Then 3rd Man which was released some 5 years after AD which I regard a twin but not identical . If you like Cartiers & Carons offerings , try & get a sample of this sleeper ! ***** 4 & half STARS ***** . .ps ... Is nothing like Yatagan as mentioned below . 18 August 2008

When the actor Alain Delon, in his youthful prime the epitome of dark Latin good looks, sauntered forth upon the street exuding masculine sexuality, all the ladies would gaze at him admiringly. When Alain Delon's rich and florid uncle, patting his paunch and twirling his moustaches, accompanied him, exuding wealth, tobacco, lechery and spice, he would gaze admiringly at all the ladies gazing admiringly at his nephew. What Alain Delon was gazing at is none too clear - possibly at his own cologne. This rather fine scent somehow manages to capture all the olfactory possibilities of this complicated human saga. 02 March 2006

Its a great one. I has a touch of 80s thats true, though its very different at the same time. It has no leather smell or any such heavy, disturbing, typical 80s ingredients. Its sweet and has a certain charm. Its among Alain Delon's best, thats for sure! Long lasting and very special. 03 January 2006

Good old eighties! I even remember some imitations of this! Yes, it`s warm woody-spicy chypre that reminds me Yatagan by Caron. Woods are pine, juniper, cedar, and laurel. Spices - cinnamon and cloves. Mark Buxton made it years before he became a part of Comme de Garcons team. Only one faul (which is quite good in office polit correctness era) - medium longevity.. 23 November 2005
