Basenotes says...

Herba Fresca is part of Guerlain's "Aqua Allegoria" fragrance collection. Although aimed at women, some of the fragrances in the range can be considered unisex. The range are designed to be reminiscent of garden walks. They are light like colognes but are longer lasting like an EDT.

Superior mint, I'd say. A note that just doesn't jive with me very often. This is a great natural mint and it also has a slightly soapy clean feel to it (not dentist/toothpaste clean). Decent longevity. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't last at all like the first of this line I tried (Pamplelune). Herba-Fresca is a must try for any mint lover... which ain't me.

My daughter has this one. It was her first perfume. She wanted something with mint in it. We had Nick, a white Siamese cat who liked this perfume so much - he jumped on my daughters lap right after she sprayed it on herself! He sniffed and sniffed and we could tell he really liked this!

It doesn't last but an hour on me, but it is a relaxing perfume. Doesn't last long but it has intensity to it. Green is what I smell.

I really like Herba-Fresca so took it Greek Island hopping last summer -- sturdy bottle , fresh green fragrance, not expensive -- ideal. Trouble is, it's no more than a spritz really -- lasted for 2 hours tops. It may have been the heat down there, I suppose, but it barely lasted an evening, so ended up supplementing with Burberry Weekend, which I found in one of the capitals -- thought it might be a moody version at first (no cellophane wrap), but it wasn't and was certainly more robust. I really also like the Figue-Iris and Grapefruit in this range, but are they gonna stay around all day?

I can not recommend this enough. The minty top notes are refreshing and very inspiring. All in all, I think this one captures the essence of a walk in the garden sooooo very perfectly. Longevity is above average.

Personally, I really can't understand all the fuss about the Aqua Allegoria line. For the price they command, they surely lack sufficient staying power for me to be even remotely interested in purchasing any of them (even at ebay prices).

Herba-Fresca is an okay scent. Its mintiness smells natural and is very pleasant. However, like most of the offerings from this line, it temporarily turns on my skin before reaching a bland drydown.

Probably the key here is to apply to fabric, rather than on the skin, but I really can't be bothered to worry about a fragrance that fails to really capture my attention.

A wearable mint fragrance that strikes a good balance between floral and green. Not that it's floral, but it doesn't have a harsh, grassy quality to its greenness. Very refreshing, especially in the summer. Doesn't last, but then it's subtle enough to be sprayed multiple times.
