  |  This is a take-no-prisoners fougere, and frankly too much for my taste. Azzaro starts off strong and becomes overbearing. It is deep, dark and rich; and for me the pungent and musty smell of patchouli gradually took over and overwhelmed all other elements. Perhaps in micro-doses this could work, but I won't attempt that. I find Armani to be a brighter and much more enjoyable example of this type of scent. Gucci Nobile is another wonderful 70's/80's scent.07 May 2008 |
 | I used to wear this in my mid-twenties. Now, at 40+ I can't stand the smell anymore. The opening is lovely and fresh , I must admit, but that takes only 5 seconds. On the drydown, there's no warmth at all, and that's not how I remembered it. Did they change the recipe or what? It smells cheap now, and in fact, it's not that cheap at all!  | Although i was nearly 6 years old in the late 80Ős i had the chance to try Azzaro pour Homme as it was one of my brotherŐs favorite fragrances. Then used to be a great spicy, woody,musky,heavy fragrance of the 80Ős. Now is a heady, overwhelming, outdated fragrance. However it canŐt be considered as a diachronic,classic fragrance. 25 September 2006 |

| Very dated smelling. Not as offensive as Lagerfeld but nothing in particular stands out about this one. It's not a "lady killer" fragrance. To me its a bit generic, maybe a step above the cheaper drug store scents. It doesnt belong with classics like Vetiver or Eau Savage. Not to be used by the under 40 crowd. 18 December 2003 |
