Are they still making this fragrance? I was given the Azzaro pour Homme as a present years ago. Right up there with Starsky & Hutch, CHIPS, et al.

A brash, spicy fougere that I find much better than its copies. This is quite dated and many 30 year olds that smell this will claim that their father wore Azzaro pour Homme.

When I smell this, I am immediately reminded of . . . Charlie’s Angels! Not that I didn't like the show (I did), but this is definitely of that era, and I can just imagine some of the macho villain "guest stars," chest hair and all, smelling exactly like this. Ugh!

Strong sillage. Made in '78, Azzarro was a herald of the oakmoss 80's. About a 9 on the machometer, yet after the top anise note goes away it is really quite sparkling and light on its feet.
Not to be confused with over the top stink bombs like Quorum.
Azzarro delivers the goods. I've enough of its genre. Still if I tire of Tuscany and co; this forgotten one is a great bang for your buck. Check it out. Especially if you're a fan of fougeres. Unlike its chypre cousin, Aramis, it is not instantly recognizable--So I think it's easily suitable for any age group.

very old fashioned, in the same caterogy as old spice, tuscany, aramis. I bet this is what the original agent 007 smells like. DOn't buy unless you are at least 45 yrs old.

A good fragrance, original anise smell, fresh and invigorating. Has sgreen and citrus notes in the opening and then a mellow but boring drydown following a decently complex mid. A bit too 'barbershop' smell for me but best suited to a confident older man. I probably wouldn't buy this again but admire those who can carry it off.

A classic fougere, without any of the sweet notes that are popular today. Absolutely no "creamy vanilla"! This fragrance won't rock any boat. It's like sailing on a perfectly quiet morning, with a fresh breeze in your hair, on a lake surrounded by pine woods. No mover. Just decent. Good for Italian macho men; it won't offend La Mama.

While a technically well made scent, I don't relate to Azzaro P.H. at all.
It certainly is unmistakably masculine, distinctive, very well blended and not at all offensive.
what gives, then?
It is Schwarzeneggerish: The guy is neatly groomed, well dressed, masculine after a certain manner, and, atleast in the movies anyway, gets the job done. But, unless you share a Californian flair for the bizzare, you'll agree it is very difficult, nay impossible, to relate to him.
Robotic, shall we say?
The clinical Azzaro is the perfumery equivalent.
It best accomodates a utilitarian approach to scent, nothing more.
If you're seeking a human representation in a scent, however, look elsewhere; unless you're robocop.

What can I say about this one that hasn't allready been said. Well it's a very masculine smell..real heavy on the musk but its not bad. It does remind me somewhat of an old English Gentlemen's frag. I will disagree with people saying it's stong and last longing. On me it starts out strong but gets very light smelling in a matter of about 1/2 hour and my skin seems to just eat it away I find it doesn't last for more then 1&1/2 to 2 hours.
