This is for the original formula with the leather strap around it. Don't be fooled by the golfing marketing. This is not your typical Cool Water or Polo clone. What it does have is a similarity to Creed's Green Valley, but it has a toned down soap note. Fresh, clean, green, and a bit soapy, but very well done. Has just the right amount of projection and longevity is pretty decent for this type of fragrance. Completely inoffensive fragrance that would be great for work or in a jeans and t-shirt on your day off.
This review is for the original fragrance (bottle has the green leather band). I find this scent immediately registers with others without being overpowering. It's good all year but especially in the warmer months. I'm on my third bottle and will miss this one from my shelf of trusted fragrances if I cannot score a fourth bottle via EBay.
This is one of the blind buys I've ever had. It's nice, fresh, and clean and soft for daywear. Bobby really hit a hole in one as far as one goes! Great scent!
some resemblancee to green valley and swiss army but no mint in my opinion which makes this better. a great everyday scent that grest sillage. the notes are very enjoying and never overbearing. amber plays it's part very discreetly but albeit well.the best green out their hands down.
Bobby Jones, a golfer – even before my time. Bobby Jones, the fragrance, is, I agree, a little like Swiss Army. They both have a very similar green in the opening – a green that’s a bit on the sour side. Otherwise it is citrus fresh and lighter than many others fragrances from the same time. The middle continues the green motif with a coniferous cypress while a soft lightwood note joins in. It ends with a simple amber / coniferous drydown. It’s a simple and direct fragrance that does well what it does – a competent fragrance – pleasant, comfortable – but nothing spectacular.
