This is a good one and is really affordable. I first tried this one back in about 2002 and liked it even back then as a teenager so this one can be tried by the younger crowd as well as those much older. Read the other reviews for more details since I'm just here to give this one a thumbs up. 05 October 2008

Sweet woods. I get a huge tonka bean note in this like in Dunhill Desire for a Man. I like this and think this would work much better in the colder months. THe scent just bounces around too much in the heat. 14 June 2008

Burberry for Men is a fresh and distinctive woody foral which successfully represents the brands heritage of tradition and understated luxury. An excellent example of enduring British style. 12 May 2008

I don't understand alot of the negative feedback for this one. It starts with a sharp mix of floral and fruit notes and dries down to become a very smooth musky, deep and brooding fragrance. I think of a somewhat port or wine like note comes out in it as well. I feel this is a very good alternative to those that don't care for Burberry London, given that on my skin London turns into a huge cloying sour brick wall. 10 January 2008

I picture myself walking down a bustling city sidewalk full of people in winter. With a heavy formal coat on, w/ my neck wrapped in a plaid scarf. This sent is pure winter wonderland. Very sophisticated and classy, very winter. 21 November 2007

This was one of the first fragrances my brother bought, when my father stopped giving us the same Azzaro bottle all the years. At my brother's home I tested it on a paper. At the first spray it felt classic, mainly lavender, but quickly a note of mint gave it a fresh and younger sensation. Also with mint, some notes of bergamot and other fruits could be felt. At middle notes, the same notes above continues, but sandalwood and cedar appears. At base notes, notes of tonka beans and amber are present. Classical and a bit sweet, but with a hint of fresh minty note. Suitable for all seasons, although the tonka beans, amber and the sweet notes makes it more suitable for colder seasons. For daytime and office use, for over 25 years old men. 26 March 2007

I just think this stuff is wonderful. It dies down on my skin very quick (within 20-30 minutes). I suppose they would say it's close to the skin, but it's not weak.. it's just that element where you can't smell it from a few feet away, but once you're close THERE it is. It smells very sweet on my skin, almost creamy, so it must be the vanilla. Thing is, I don't like smell of vanilla, so it blends very well with the other notes. There's something in the midnotes that is slightly awkward, but it's hardly recognizable. I'd say put it on 30 minutes before arriving. You're going to feel confident with this scent on, but you aren't going to overpower anybody. And if you end up getting close to someone special, they're going to be drawn in by that sweet musky scent. 14 December 2006

The Burberry I'm thinking of came out in 97, I believe, under the name burberry, in a yellow bottle with a silver cap. I think it smells like bug spray. But in a good way. Maybe it's the pine and mint and especially the lavender (which always smells medicianal to me, since we had some mosqito repellent with lavander when I was a kid.) All in all, it's the perfect blend of sharp sweet scent with heavy woodsy base. My personal favorate. 03 June 2006

Well, I've read all the other reviews and am a bit nonplussed. This is plainly and unambiguously a minty scent to my nose, yet no one else appears to see it that way. I like the scent, but don't often feel compelled to wear it. However, I was amazed that my ladyfriend was totally wrapped in it, and thought it one of my best. Renato 02 May 2006

This is a great fragrance. Peach and Bergamot start off the fragrance with mint and musk coming in at the end. This is the first cologne I have reviewed for this site and it's appropriate as this is one of my favorites. 19 November 2005

A classy, modern, and surprisingly unique scent that I consider as a timeless classic. It's the masterful combination of woods moss and musk that kinda reminds me of a new tweed jacket with leather trim at the elbows and pockets. I really don't think that it's gotten enough praise that it truly deserves. Not many fougere scents nowadays, wish there were more to balance out the rash of fresh and aquatics out there. 24 September 2005

This one is sure to be one of my signature scents this fall! It's smooth, mellow sweetness is such a pleasure to the senses! The fruity and vanilla notes blend really well together, kind of like a skin smoothie :). Another bonus: its longevity is AWESOME! This one is a must-have for cooler weather! 16 September 2005

This scent reminds me of warm gingerbread cookies in wintertime... but I don't know why: as far as I know, there's not any ginger in it. 29 August 2005

Unique. No other cologne smells like Burberry London. Wear it lightly and without leather accesories or you might stink. This is for a casual walk on the beach and not while playing basketball. I have been proudly wearing this since it first came out in 1995. 19 June 2005

I really love the top note, it's very refreshing, also sweet but minty and cool scent:) It also lasts fairly long. It's such a casual scent that you would want to wear all the time. Not heavy either~! 12 February 2005

Fantastique! The one scent I have which truly brings out the tobacco. Another one of those scents where I find it lasts longer and longer the more times I use it. I find this scent puts me at ease, even though it is almost a formal scent. The pears give up some sweetness, but this is not the Xeryus Rouge/Pi/Desire sweetness. Imagine pears cooking in honey... The tobacco seems to temper the sweetness. Eventually the pears fade and the tobacco note takes center stage with a touch of sweetness. 30 December 2003

A great fragrance. A staple in a mans cologne chest (or wherever he keeps the stuff). This is to be worn under a clean undershirt and fine cotton shirt. When you perspire it releases oozles of refined alluring female attracting things... 08 September 2003

This is a simple, but great aromatic fougere scent, great for the spring and fall. Warm and kind of fruity, the tobacco/amber note is very nice and gives it depth. 07 September 2002
