I tested this out yesterday at the mall. It is WONDERFUL!
if you love Diesel Fuel For Life, or Polo Double Black, this scent is for you. It is like the two combined. It really reminds me of Australian soft licorice. they only had the aftershave for $38, so I did not buy it. I am going to be keeping an eye out for this in stores.

It is a very soft and full bodied fragrance. I assume it is great for winter wear; the light crisp December air should only make this more delicious. Both my bottles of Diesel FFL have run out-- it was my everyday winter scent and worked so well with the outside air. I may end up buying the aftershave considering the only thing holding the diesel cologne back from being my scent of choice was it does not come in an aftershave version. I wonder how well the two pair together~

I had forgotten about this one. I didn't even know that it had been disconnected. Too bad really. If this was released today up against most designer offerings, it would simply wipe the floor with them. Casual Friday is one of the best balanced gourmands of its class (A*Men, Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin, Rochas Man, etc.) I've never been able to try the widely venerated (and also discontinued) Yohji Homme, but I've heard that it's similar.

Casual Friday is very heavy on the cedarwood-- maybe more so than other gourmands, but it works here. It also feels a bit cool-- maybe like a "shamrock shake" from McDonalds. It's sweet, but it's not a heavy nostril oriental nostril-clogger. It's very laid back, care-free and relaxed, like its name. A total shame that this didn't catch on and that it was discontinued. If you see a bottle of this, snap it up and enjoy it!

For some reason, I've also loved the bottle design/packaging of this one as well.

this and Rochas Man are the only gourmands I have tolerance for. Casual Friday may look cheap, but it sure as heck isn't. Sweet, but man is it sexy. I got so many comments with it....bring it back!!

Don`t let the silly name fool you, this is a wonderful semi-gourmand oriental with extremely good lasting power and powerful sillage.
Very strong and aggressive to my nose, but in a most pleasant way. Anise / licorice dominates this one obviously, and it`s very vanillic-musky too. Spices and woods play very small part, but they are still notable. In sometime of the duration, it has an odd long lasting note that I would call "nutty".

More anisic and vanillic than Le Male, and not as softly musky or full bodied than Au Masculin.
Recommended, definitely.

It took me a while to get into this one; I didn’t really like or understand it at first but I did feel a bit of intrigue, so I bought a couple of minis and, over a period of time, learned to really love it. The opening is interesting — sharp herbal green and spices that have a definite gourmand vibe to them, especially because of the anise. This accord puts me off at first (somewhat synthetic) but in ten minutes, it has settled down to a very nice, rather subtle gourmand. The movement then goes to the wonderful and comfortable floral / spicy middle: The carnation, jasmine, and cinnamon stand out a little more than the other notes and provide an excellently balanced accord. This mid accord is not really gourmand, but it still has a bit of that gourmand aura left in it. The fragrance finishes with the restrained sharpness of cedar, oak moss, patchouli, and tonka; the cedar is very prominent in the dry down and lasts forever, it seems, giving Casual Friday excellent longevity. This is a very nicely designed fragrance — more subtle than most of the other gourmand and highly wearable. It is an enticing fragrance that should not have been discontinued.

This is a similiar to Lemale, but richer and more potent. I discovered this thru my 11 year-old nephew who was given this by his father. To me, it was Lemale and chicken grease, but I kept spraying every chance I got. Soon, I acquired the remants of the bottle from my nephew, who is no big fan of fragrances. Before my acquisition, my nephew and I spent a Saturday(No, it wasnt Friday)together. As we rode the bus home after an all-star high school football game, I noticed a wonderful aroma everytime the bus door opened to let another passenger aboard. Finally, I remembered that my nephew had sprayed Casual Friday on himself before we left for the day. Wow! What a great scent. It often seems that fragrances smell better on others.

Kind of like Le Male, but substituting anise/licorice for the lavender. I like Le Male and since I am surprisingly(since I can't stand eating this stuff) attracted to anise/licorice frags, I like this one as well. Difficult to find but worth a few dollars for a small bottle.

Too much licorice/anise for my tastes, although my boyfriend always loved this one. I loved the sandalwood portion, but not the anise part. I'll give it a thumbs up anyway, but for his sake, not mine.

Incredible edible.
Just got hold of some of this and it is wonderful. There is some A-men in there but it comes across a bit spicier on my skin. Still alive and well in online auctions!

It's a pity Casual Friday was discontinued. It's gourmand notes of vanilla and something that remembers capuccino is warming and reverberant.

A bit synthetic at the begining (about half an hour when tested it on my skin), then it stays on anise, standard woody notes and oriental notes like vanilla. Not fresh enough, I feel it was more a autumn/winter choice. I liked the aroma from the sample I got, but for some unknown reason I never wanted to use it as a fragrance for daily use.

Decent fragrance with edible notes, reminiscent of Yohji, Rochas Man, Hanae Mori, A*Men, and the like. It is rich, exuding quite an air like being in a coffee shop carrying chocolates in it. Hard to find in kiosks nowadays, but not impossible. Give it a try if you like those delicious scents listed before. :-)

I myself underrated this scent. I thought it was nice, but the base was a bit cloying. This however is a favorite with a lot of women for some reason. They've stopped making this scent, but I'm glad the bottle is rather large with a lot of the scent I can still savor!

Casual Friday is a sporty Gourmand scent. Quite sweet smelling but much more tolerable than that yucky A men. Kind of like a cup of Starbucks with berries blended in. VERY long lasting also. I like it.

A tad too sweet at first for it has a healthy amount of vanilla, but in a scoop it is cool, calm, comforting and sophisticated scent, wonderfully simple and pure. Lasts, lasts, and lasts. Leaves a great trail that smells of bitter-sweet woods. 7 out of 10.
