It says "Chevrefeuille Original" on my sample vial, but I'm just not smelling any chevrefeuille in this concoction at all. It's pleasant, but it's not like any honeysuckle I've ever smelled. Maybe in France, honeysuckle smells like lavender, because *that's* what I smell. It's a soapy scent, to me, much like Original Vetiver, but without the lemongrass. I guess I smell the mint that everyone else smells, but mostly I just smell soap smell -- lavender with something else. If they wanted to give it a name that means lavender, they could have named it Arome 3.

I spent a long weekend sampling Creeds when I found my hotel next to a Saks, and of the 20 or so I sampled Chevrefeuille was the most interesting and distinct from the others in the line. The reviews below are very good (except the one about licorice, which neither I nor anyone else detects), and I don't have much to add. The opening of honeysuckle/mint/florals and a touch of citrus is very unique, crisp, and enjoyable. I don't find CO to be feminine at all, and in fact the SA marketed it to me as a masculine. CO is basically linear, but this works for this type of fragrance for some reason. Longevity is average at best, which is kind of a downer for such a pricey fragrance, but otherwise this is high on my 'want a bottle' list.

This is an underrated Creed. Not the best of the underrated but quite good. Has a slight licorice note to it with hints of florals that I'm unfamiliar with (the honeysuckle everyone's talking about?) . This is all underlying a rounded, crisp mint note. I've never liked mint except in my toothpaste, even then it burns but here it's nice. Possibly a great cool-down fragrance for winter but the spiciness might wear that down. Anyways, kudos to Creed for this one.

To me it is a walk through an herb garden surrounded by evergreens after a fall morning rain. I detect mint, but not a crass common variety, rather the delicate sweetness of Persian mint. Fennel, tarragon and possibly lemon thyme are there as well. The sweet evergreen scent of cedar and camphor leaves enriches the bright herbs. I don't detect any woods. Quite some time after the drydown, I sense the faintest floral, but not honeysuckle or muguet as others have mentioned. Both are in my garden and are quite different than the floral notes of Chevrefeuille. It is a less sweet and more 'metallic' blossom.

What a delightful daytime fragrance!

My friend across the street has a patch of delicious mint growing wildly in her landscape, she lets me swipe some whenever I need it...Chevrefeuille smells like when I rub one of those fresh mint leaves between my fingers. It is lemony and bright! Slightly herbaceous with an everlasting type freshness. As for the honeysuckle ~ I don't get much at all - it is extremely subdued. This is a winning unisex summertime elixir! In fact, I might prefer it on a man.

Chevrefeuille Original goes on with very brisk, sharp green notes that trumpet a wake-up call to the nose. Sweeter green grassy notes follow in a few minutes, causing the composition to mellow appreciably. Behind these come the floral notes, all bright and spring-fresh. I smell lily-of-the-valley (muguet) along with the honeysuckle, and jus the slightest hint of anise, licorice, or fennel seed.

The floral accord sweetens considerably over time, but never loses its bright freshness or becomes heady. I attribute some of this effect to a very subtle and well blended minty-camphorous note. Chevrefeuille Original continues in a linear manner for three or four hours before fading quietly into the background. It never morphs onto the standard modern Creed formula that underpins Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Millesime Imperial, or Himalaya, and that's all for the better.

I give Chevrefeuille Original credit: it really is original and distinctive in the context of the modern Creed offerings. I can recommend it without reservation as a unisex scent for spring and summer.

I can't say I found this to be like the other Creed's. Seems less distinctive. I did not get much more than alcohol strength in the first stages. After a while is was better, but not great. The sillage left a bit to be desired.
Not bad, mind you. Just not like Tabarome or GIT with that wonderful 'differentness'.

Creed Chevrefeuille has a sharp, interesting opening. The honeysuckle is rich, floral, somewhat smoky and tangy. I don’t detect mint as a separate element, but there is a sharp freshness that is probably from that. It takes a while for the herbs to develop, but when they do they are very good... basil and perhaps tarragon. I appreciate the ‘pastoral’ qualities they give. The honeysuckle floral continues, and as is usual for a Creed, gets a bit rich. For me, this is not a must-have scent, but I can appreciate it.

I love this Creed. Highly unusual and unique. Floral top note that is beautiful, but not pretty. Soft, but not too sweet. Maintains its masculinity. No Oak Moss, no citrus,
really like nothing else I've come accross and the quality is obvious.
Haven't seen it mentioned, but I get a definite leather note at the dry down.
Perfect daytime fragrance.My current fave!

This has been my most disappointing Creed. Like a shooting star, a fantastic experience that too soon becomes a memory.

Very unusual scent. Starts with a honeysuckle mint accord which works beautifully and dries down to a herbaceous, very green heavenly base which endures for an amazingly long time. Conjours rural pastures for me, I almost expect to hear birdsong. This is one of my favourire drydowns of all time.Its so incongrous wearing this in the big city that I love to do it. This scent REALLY doesn't smell like all the others.

Chevrefuille is one of the more unique Creeds. On the first blast, I was instantly in love ... it was a mixture of honeysuckle and cool mint notes (lots of them), complementing each other very well. The mint notes keep the floral impact of the honeysuckle in check; infact, throughout the course of the scents duration, the honeysuckle note stays well put in the background, with the occasional whiff now and then. The drydown (after about an hour or so), consists of mainly herbal notes....it smells a bit herbal and "spicy". The mint has cooled off a bit by now (no pun intended), but you can still detect the honeysuckle every now and then; however the herbal notes clearly dominate this phase of the fragrance. I am curious about a more detailed notes pyramid for this scent; the commonly cited notes information "Citrus notes, herbs and honeysuckle" dont give information on what kind of herbs have been employed in the creation of this scent.

Overall, this is one of the more unique Creeds out there - the top notes are great, and the herbal drydown is decent. I dont think it is overly floral at all; its suitable as a unisex fragrance, with good sillage and longevity.

A solid honeysuckle / mint accord opens the scent and continues to dominate. Unfortunately the mint does very little to reduce the floral impact of the honeysuckle: At first it’s a rather sharp accord so it’s not overtly feminine but I think it’s feminine enough to keep me from wanting to wear it. As some other reviewers say, Chevrefeuille Original is crisp, clear and light, and I would agree; however, there are a lot of crisp, clear, and light fragrances that have more attraction and/or more subtle accords than this. This scent is not complex and it’s somewhat linear—there’s nothing genius here—it reaches ‘interesting,’ but that’s it. The dry down is very good, but still feminine and quite short-lived. I’ll pass on wearing this one.

Sweet, somewhat powdery, and floral. Maybe unisex, but to me it's leaning toward being a feminine scent. I like it enough - it's crisp, clean, and light - to maybe try this one on a hot, humid day. Still, it seems very soft and floral to me and I may not be brave enough to wear it out.

light, fresh, seems unfinished to me

I purchased a bottle of chevrefeuille Original and wasn't impressed. Yeterday, I re-tried or 're-visited' it as the saying goes.Maybe it was the humid weather,maybe it was just me but this scent is hugely under-rated when compared amongst the other creed scents, of which I own 8 different scents.Maybe it's the name (people cannot easily translate the name) as people aren't too familiar with Honeysuckle,or maybe it's the plain , standard clear bottle. Either way, I am smitten with this stuff.It's just diferent from many of the other creed scents.

My first encounter with CO left me nothing but the impression of soap. Upon revisiting it however I am picking up a lot more of the mint. In fact I think I am starting to like this. It is a VERY clean accord, cleaner than I usually like, but I am finding more of the mint and honeysuckle and these make this a very pleasant fragrance. I guess I am recommending it!

Creed's Chevrefeuille is an awesome men's floral based on honeysuckle and mint - fresh and light...not sweet as I would have thought.

Accutely light and sweet. A very positive scent that is plainly unisex and very enjoyable. Probably the best honeysuckle scent I've encountered.
