   |  Damn!!! Yes....that is my impression of this fragrance. The first few minutes I thought I uncorked an opening of Cepacol throat lozenges, only to realize it was nothing more than a major league blast of Nutmeg.The intensity of this one note is overpowering on my skin and it is at the expense of all other notes.  | This is Santa Maria Novella Pot-pourri's out of control love child. Maybe not Pot-pourri, just pot, in various senses of that word. My inital reaction was "this is awful!". And that was my view for a long time. The elements attack each other and the wearer. The drydown is pretty nice, and appealing, but that's a three hour wait, which for me is the time it takes to fly down to Orlando, and that is too long to wait. Avante garde so be on your guard.   | Ordered this blind and quickly traded it away. Very Diptyque-ish in terms of composition. Smells like an incredibly strong christmas potpourri. High quality fragrance no doubt, but sometimes more isn't more. There are just too many different types of spices here and the end result becomes bitter, very medicinal. Strong hay note as well, just like in Villoresi's Yerbamate, not half as pleasant here unfortunately. Not for me. 22 September 2005 |
