Eau du Coq is a very cheery, open citrus with a green heart and a sweet low note. Only lasts 30 minutes on me. I'm not kidding. I tried it twice and no dice on longevity scent is completely gone, must be my dry skin. Those 30 minutes were beautiful.

Clean, fresh and delightful. but not that much different from Eau Imperial.

Infact, layering or mixing the two together illicits as desirable effect: it creates something fresh, clean and aromatic.

I discovered this at my aunt's home. She received both from and old friend, but there was only a quater left in each bottle, and in the spirit of Jacques Guerlain, mixed the two in a decanter with puffer spray "just to see..."

And the outcome was fair enough. More aromatic and "fuller" than either of the originals.

On its own, Eau du Coq is good enough, but unmistakeably Eau de Cologne in smell, sillage and longevity. Need I continue?

Nice, but I can;t bring myself to purchase a bottle.

Light and very refreshing, this one pulls a very rapid disappearing act. And I'm not one that usually complains about longevity. I found myself constantly refreshing, to the point that I used a 100ml bottle in record time. Definitely unisex, worthy of audition if you want something exceedingly discrete.
