Reviews of Eau Sauvage Extrême ![]() dark phoenix 123 SingaporeShow all reviews | interesting to note that quite a number of people dislike the scent - many preferring the original eau sauvage. for me, i like BOTH the original and the concentree. i agree the concentree can be a bit overwhelming as it is very strong. what i do is i spray it on my pants (rather than my shirt) so that i catch whiffs of it rather than have it assault my nose constantly if i spray it near my chest. alternatively, spritz some on your palm and dab it (some to the hair as well). Dabbing has the effect of reducing sillage. 16th December, 2011. |

| Spoombung United KingdomShow all reviews | Long-lasting, full-bodied, herby, lemon peel with a slightly sweet dry down. Pleasant, but not that exciting. 21st April, 2011. |
![]() Bartlebooth United KingdomShow all reviews | This is distantly reminiscent of a phase in the original, just amplified significantly. It is as if every ounce of moisture and freshness has been squeezed from Eau Sauvage and we are left to work with this dry, spare and rough pulp. These characteristics are the very antithesis of the classic version. 15th April, 2011. |
![]() Mr Nose Show all reviews | It's a bit sneaky of Dior to change this fragrance as much as they have 2009/10 but not the name - I know fragrances are sometimes altered, but Eau Sauvage Extreme is now totally different - in the 'small type'...look very closely and you will see that under the main title of Eau Sauvage Extreme there is now the word 'intense' instead of 'concentree' - I guess they thought we would not 'smell' the difference. The new ESE has a mid and base that is quite intense in terms of Lavender. Any citrus top note evaporates in seconds, leaving, what I feel - is now a fragrance unrelated to the non-Extreme product. In fact, I've noticed that many other fragrances are now using the word 'Intense'? Is LVHM applying the approach to other fragrances? Any way, if you used to like the citrus notes of ESE, you will be disappointed in the new fragrance - which should be given a different name. If you prefer a more Lavender orientated fragrance - then this may be for you. 26th January, 2011. (Last Edited: 4th February, 2011.) |
| Zgb CroatiaShow all reviews | Well it incredibly reminds of Azzaro Pour Homme. It reminds to an such extent that even I, after some experience and no longer being such a newb, could say that Sauvage Extreme is just a copy of Azzaro Pour Homme with a hint of leather and a hint too less to make it an entirely different fragrance with a soul of its own. 5th January, 2011. |
