Okay, this starts with a light, airy citrus. I suppose the airy quality comes from the ozone notes. Ozone is a term that bothers me because it's what, O3? How does that smell? Anyway, the I suppose the ozonic notes make this smell airy, and I also doubt that those notes are O3.

So I stopped paying attention to the smell for awhile, yes, it's that unforgettable, and when I smelled my wrist an hour later I only smelled the sea. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this sea smell is ambergris. Bare in mind here, this isn't a great sea smell, because it's boring. A killer sea smell should be dirtier, and include other scents to get the whole oceanic feel.

Anyway, try before you buy. I'm sure there would be nothing more dissapointing than blind buying a $100+ mediocre fragrance

I would have given this a neutral rating but the poor longevity and lack of development in Erolfa inspired my decision for a thumbs down. It starts off like a stripped down version of MI and SMW. The marine note that those two have in common is basically what Erolfa is all about. Just a basic citrus, ozonic opening that quickly dries down to the ambergris drydown that Creed is known for. But unlike the other Creeds, all I can detect in Erolfa's drydown is ambergris. It's very uninpiring to say the least. Of course I'm sure many others would disagree with my assessment.

What is the point of this fragrance?

Take away the Creed name and there is no way it would get the rave reviews it gets. Yes it's all very pretty at the opening - but no prettier or more attractive to the olfactory lobes than any of the Acqua di Parma Colonias.

After about ten minutes of this engaging opening coversation, it starts to fade like the Cheshire Cat until all you are left with is the faint memory of the grin you wore when you first put it on. I really tried to like this, I really did. But I've had fragrant wet wipes which have a scent which lasts longer than this. And I though the original Chanel pour Monsieur was short lived!

For me, the aforementioned AdPs are nicer, more engaging, more complex, last longer and project better than this.

This is not worth the ticket price. Thumbs down. And that's being kind.

Drop an Island in the middle of Utah's Salt Lake.
Plant a Lemon Orchard on that Island.
Plant white flowers around the orchard.
I was expecting alot more.
I still prefer the dark saltwater bay overun by greens & seaweed of Bvlgari Aqva

Erolfa still very pleasant and well done. I give it neutral for price>scent

Erolfa is not bad! It's "modern" for a Creed (which I consider a positive quality). But I find it is a narrow scent, that could have been so much more. I pick up 4 notes; lemon, salt, ozone and light wood. What I miss here is something like seaweed, tar and other sea/harbour related "dirty" notes, notes that would have broadened the olfactory picture of a seaside environment. Erolfa is too clean!

Beautiful salty marine scent that unfortunately only lasts a couple hours on me.

Erolfa is probably my favorite aquatic fragrance. With that being said, it’s strikingly similar to Millesime Imperial. It does have a briney/salty character that MI doesn’t, but they essentially smell almost like the same fragrance. I am still up in the air if this is worth owning along with MI.

Is a citrus scent however, I smell something I can't quite recognize...I'm not sure if it is intriguing or repulsive.
