Gant USA Classic fragrance notes

Reviews of Gant USA Classic

Pretty cool scent but also pretty strong, I only have the aftershave but even that is pretty strong. I think this is a big body-chemistry issue because i've noticed that how it smells on any given day depends on what type of soap or lotion I might have used before hand. The colognes or aftershaves I use are not effected by those factors but with Gant Classic they can be decisive. I understand it has been discontinued.

Such a shame this lovely fragarance is now discontinued.
I recently grabbed a bargain on, 2 X 75ml EDT for £10.95.
It's not exactly original or exciting but great if you want a long lasting, clean woody fragrance.
Starts with a citrus blast,as most mens fragrances do,which quickly warms to a soft sandalwood/cedar aroma.
Great for daytime, but not exactly a "pulling" fragrance for night.

Longevity good: 7/10
Projection ok,sits fairly close to the skin: 5/10

A virtual clone of Polo Sport by Ralph Lauren; which is not necessarily a bad thing in my book. Unfortunately however it suffers from the same problem of having very poor longevity. A shame really as it has the potential to be a very nice 'all purpose' fragrance.

It is too generic to be interesting. Same old story - starts citrusy, dries down into oakmoss. How many times have we seen this one before?
