Fragrance Profile
Basenotes says...
This fragrance was inspired by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Ireland. The name 'Inis' is the Irish word for Island. The bottle's cap represents two pebbles on a beach.
This unisex fragrance is ideal for fans of 'Issey' who want a change. It's reasonably priced too

Unfortunately, the "energy of the sea” (their phrase) has no sea smell. The spray bottle has an acrylic cap. Called a “cologne,” but is weak even for an after-shave. Lasts a very short while (1.5 to 2 hours on me). 6-8 sprays needed for effect. Smells a bit like CK One to me, but not as good. If you want a good sea/marine fragrance, try Mare, Aqua Motu, or Oltre. 14 July 2009

While I LOVE this scent, I cannot wear it. My sister gave this to me two years ago and I keep trying to wear it every couple of months because it smells so wonderful. I feel like it is slightly too masculine for me, with that being said...it would drive me wild on my husband...now if only he would wear it:) 02 July 2009

"I just purchased this fragrance recently and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It smells exactly like Issey Miyake's 'L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, but lighter and with less "tang" to it; the lemon and marine top notes are clean, fresh and crisp while the woody-clove dry-down make it a perfectly masculine scent. It is an easy scent to wear whether to the office, on the weekends or a casual night on the town. I highly recommend this fragrance! 11 September 2008

A woman at work wears this and it is stunning on her! I just ordered it and can't wait to have it. I'm usually drawn to orientals, but if this smells as good on me as it does on her, then this is one fresh scent that I plan to have in my collection for a long, long time. It truly does transport you to the edge of the sea on a cool, spring day. Amazing. 09 April 2007

A fresher, crispier L'eau d'Issey. It does last a long time for such an invigorating scent. Exhibits some similarity with Truefitt & Hill 1805 too. If you've got any one of these three, you might want to wait until your bottle runs out before getting either one of the others, as the difference is that slight. 13 October 2005

I love marine scents and have many of them in my collection, all of which I like. I find Inis very similar to Issey (the original one), only without the sourness. The muguet (lily of the valley) softens this one and carries it quite well. I remember driving home one day with the window down and the rain droplets just started to fall. Just as I drew my arm inside, I smelled this scent on my skin resurfacing from an application 8 hours earlier. The rain had "re-activated" it and it was a wonderful surprise. My favorite and most wearable of the marines. I'm glad so few know about this one. If I'd smelled this first, Issey would've never found a home in my cabinet. 28 October 2004
