Reviews of Kiton Napoli (1998)

I had HIGH expectations for this one based on reading the fellow base noters reviews but....unfortunately it wasn't what it could have been. It has no character. It's common. Far from unique and loaded with sweetness. Not what you would expect from the Kiton family. Absolutely NO dryness. If I had to make a comparson, I'd say it resembles a cheap smelling Mall Kiosk cologne called INSURRECTION.
Napoli falls into a category of sweetness to the likes of Burberry Brit.

In Fact, it is very similiar to Brit, but Napoli lacks Brit's coolness and distinction.

A very fruity / citrus opening quite sweet and sharp. It’s a combination accord that I enjoy but don’t love—it’s too shallow, too superficial…but it is bright and sunny. The opening lasts a long time, and the movement to the florals in the heart notes is seamless. The florals are subdued with no particular floral note taking prominence, and at this point—the result of the sweet, sharp, fruity top combining with the floral heart is that the fragrance is really getting boring. The dry down is nothing extraordinary but quite nice—cedar, tonka, and vanilla predominating—and this is the point where I can see a bit of the comparison with Dali’s Laguna. As far as I’m concerned, there are only two things remarkable about Kiton Napoli: its price (way too high) and the adventure of trying to find out if anyone sells it.
