|  Excellently blended ambery herbal fragrance. I think I detect some rosewood and vanilla, but because it's so blended it may just seem like that to me. There's also a mild, subtle sweetness to it. Don't overspray this one, or else it will likely ruin it for you. And if you like clearly defined notes in your fragrances, this might not be for you either. Another ambery herbal is Jovan Sex Appeal for men, but I'd rate Mesmerize much, much higher than that one, because of the sweetness, nicer mix of ingredients, and lack of a "synthetic" quality.17 July 2008 |
 |  I wanted to love this, but it just gave me a headache. Upon re-sniffing 2 weeks later, I decided I did not like it at all. Too sweet at the beginning. Too fruity. Finishes up smelling exactly like ancient Egyptian enbalming preparations. I guess its the Myrrh, and the sweet note working together.People have equated this with Obsession. They are wrong. It is something to spray on for cheap that smells good.I wear this to work.I first smelled this on an old guy at Kentucky Fried Chicken while waiting to order.Despite the smell of chicken, this stuff was great.The old fart seemed reluctant to reveal his secret,but I got it out of him.I bought my bottle for 8 bucks. 03 August 2006 |
  | Bought this cheap based on reviews here. This crap is horrible! THen I read that someone said it smells like Joop, and I wish I read that first. WOW what a stinker! Flowery, cheap smelling refuse. Headache city. Apple, myrrh, etc in the notes? Dang, must be apples from some other planet, cuz these are bad! My advice? Don't buy! 20 March 2004 |

| MESMERIZE IS GREAT!!! I just discovered both this and Avon's Wild Country and they're two great discoveries. Mesmerize does just what the name implies. It's mesmerizing!It's very warm, fresh, and classy. It has staying power and Avon sells all of the back up products. It's not expensive. But it feels and smells like a cologne that sells at ten times the amount. If you like warm, fresh, and sensual, try it...you will love it! 30 July 2003 |
