I liked this very much straight from the first whiff ..
Nothing pungent or synthetic to my nose .. Reminds me of Opium PH & Varvatos ..
A super sexy frag .

A charming, soft, yet spicy woody-oriental. The distinctive top note is probably mostly the result of combining lavender and betel pepper. The florals in the heart note (geranium, jasmine, and carnation) are sharpened by thyme and enriched by labdanum (an ambery resinoid). The base note anchors all these in cedar, patchouli, vanilla and a touch of leather. The overall impression is somewhat soft, but stimulating and uplifting, which is largely due to the spicy and woody notes. Having said that, it should be added that the floral notes provide a a captivating romantic aspect to the fragrance as well. Great in all weathers, this could be a work fragrance or something to brighten a casual evening engagement. It deserves high marks for its suave, self-assured, warm, and sprightly character.

Intially Nemo reminds me of Declaration by Cartier in all it's warm spicyness. The cardamom note lingers on top from the beginning. However, while Declaration begs a statement of you quite early, Nemo slips by in an elegant and subtle way, leaving no room for a negative response. This pattern continues throughout the drydown and ends up in a unique mixture of smoke and sweetness. If you like cardamom, don't miss out on this one.

Classy and sweet. I find this wearable as a casual scent. Better for a not so hot day or a not so cold day. Run of the mill but can lift your spirits. The incense doesn't project a feeling of "churchiness".

Of all Cacharel fragrances this one did nothing for my skin. It smelled good on others just not on me. On me it smelled synthetic while on others I smelled the incense and was a bit jealous. But I don't wear everything well and this one I couldn't. I kept hoping one day I could but now it's discontinued, but I guess I'll search on line for it and find a bottle for the collection just like I dream of one day hoping that Obsession will smell good on me too.

Should be sold in a candy store. The scent is too much like all the rest of the 'candy, sweet frag's.

Such glowing reviews. Didn't think much of this. Smelled ambery in its opening and dried down to a feminine sweetness that is tolerable.
Smells like so delicious by gale haymen or tendenza by van gils. Funky bottle, funny name.

Cacharel, bring this back please. As it is similar to Allure, I really love it. It is so sexy, full of mistery, and offers you an allure of an intelectual man that is powerful, respected, and also very sexy!

A woody oriental best used in activities related to sports. It has a very dynamic nature that invites to movement whether indoors or outdoors. This is a rather deep scent that can be easilly worn during all seasons and both day and nightime. It does have similarities with Chanel Allure Homme but it's more rugged and manly. Wonder why it was discontinued...

About three years ago I got a 100 ml Nemo bottle as a gift for a men's magazine subscription. The funny thing is... I never opened this bottle. Tested it at winter in a department store and I didn't like it, it felt so much incensed.

Last week I found a tester bottle in a discontinued fragrance store and tried it again on paper... in a typical spring day the sensation was completely different. The top note was very citric and lasted about half an hour. Later a middle note appeared, based on woods and about an hour after the first spray appeared a sweet base note.

For some reason my skin didn't develope the citric notes and although the sweet notes smelled like my father after a cigarette session, the fragrance is not bad. As the citric top notes are brief, a colder season should be preferred, daytime or office use. The range of age covers both younger use and classical older occasions.

How can I define Nemo?Exotic and erotic, mysterious and cool at the same time.Very distinctive scent with woods and incense, very different bottle. The sweet smoky drydown makes me feel overconfident.Whenever I spray Nemo it reminds me the mystic and sophisticated people of Old Ages and I find myself lost in the pages of History.I can't understand why Cacharel discontinued it.

A glorious Oriental for men -- lush and deep and musky and floral and spicy all at once. Pity this gem's discontinued.

In a few words: get it while you can. In this fragrance Cacharel takes an interesting tact to reach the woody destination it is going for. On the first spray, Nemo feels a little sweet and almost cloying. After the initially olfactory assault (which disappears quite quickly), Nemo comes into its own. I grew up in the great northwest and Nemo smells like home in a bottle. Evergreens and a little sandalwood for spice make this cologne an absolute hit in my book.

Wow, this is more or less a reserved Chanel Allure. That being said, it isnt a bad thing. Most of the similarity comes in the opening blast. On paper and right out of the bottle most would not be able to tell Nemo from Allure unless they were side by side. But if one has the facility of a side by side comparision anyone would notice that while Allure goes for a sort of a mellow spicy, fruity, fresh scent Nemos goals are entirely different, accentuating wood and perhaps a bit of smoke with a hint of the fruit from the opening. Is it worth it to own both? Considering that Nemo is discontinued it is becoming increasingly difficult to accomplish that feat but if you love Nemo( or Allure) and want to explore a similar fragrance that follows a divergent path then by all means purchace both and enjoy as I believe I will someday.

Intriguing fragrance. Great wood scent, great longevity. Green at first, warmed by spices, with a touch of incense to add mystery, and a base of wood and leather to make it warmer and even more captivating. A unique fragrance that is rich, warm and masculine. I would like to use the word ‘exotic,’ but I won’t—the fragrance has rather exotic elements, but it mainly has an almost primal familiarity. ‘Ritualistic’ might be a better word than ‘exotic’—after all, Cacharel used the term, ‘ritualistic’ in it’s marketing, and I believe it fits: ritualistic and mythical. Nemo—seeking mythical proportions: One sniff and I can believe it is not overshooting its target. Then there’s the bottle—an awesome reference to the Y chromosome—we don’t have to work very hard to assemble a story here.
This scent should not have been discontinued.

This is simply a delicious scent. I love the fruity-sweet-woody composition. It reminds me Allure, though they really smell nothing alike. This is a must try for everyone. Awesome Y cromosome bottle as well. Too bad it's gone now... WHY CACHAREL WHY!?

I LOVE THIS! A woodsy composition, with a brightness that makes me want to sniff it constantly. I also get this minty smell, probably from combination of betel leaf(?), maybe hinoki(?), and cardamom. A scent that makes me walk tall, feel good about myself. I don't understand why I actually passed this one up...why, why, WHY...WHYYYYY!!!! Arrrgghhh!

Got this in a swap and I would say it is destined to be one of my favorite autumn/winter fragrances. I'm not usually a big fan of woods but the fresh start to this tempers any wood on the drydown and eases into something very cozy and warm for the rest of the day. Long lasting.

A dark, mysterious scent which starts off with a freshness that is mellowed with a smoky, woody drydown. A unique fragrance that is great for Autumn/Winter

Fanatstic dry/sweet/smoky scent. Never been released in the UK for some odd reason but it can be found cheaply on the internet. A must have IMO, very unusal.

Fruity-woody scent with almost fleeting green undertones. Warm, soft and absolutely cozy fragrance with a vanishingly small sweetness to it. Young scent in a very stylish bottle. Daytime informal scent for cooler temps. And nothing to do with that captain of mysterious submarine by Jules Verne.

So comfortable that sometimes you don't notice you're wearing this at all. First it smells of fresh greens, then transforms into something lightly sweet and woody. Leaves a great trail. A bit similar to Spazio Krizia Uomo to me.

This fragrance has not been launched in the UK as Cacharel lacks the big name appeal needed for a successful launch. I first smelt it in 99 and loved it. The bottle is a bit quirky, looking a bit like a tree (apparently it represents the 'Y' Chromosone). I like the spray mechanism, which is remarkably easy to handle. My friends quite like it, but are unable to get their own unless they travel into Europe (where I got mine).
