This is a very masculine scent. Caution must be used when applying or else it will be very strong. The top notes last quite a while even after the drydown. It starts off as a very soapy scent and mellows out after the drydown. Very 90s scent but still nice for any casual time.

I've always enjoyed this one. Fresh, invigorating, masculine, long lasting,
and definitely leaves a lasting impression on the ladies. So much better than
the pink rubbish that is the original Joop! - what were they thinking?!!
It's too bad this one is not widely available in the states anymore, it's definitely worth revisiting - I rather prefer this type of early 90's rich, concentrated freshness over the fruity, girly fresh scents that are everpresent these days.
Thumbs up for Nightflight!

This is a good experience after the terror of Joop homme.
Everybody comites mistakes, and Joop also.
Nightflight is much more different than his unpolite brother Joop Homme. Fresh, unique, clean.....Yummy!
Very long lasting, excellent sillage, nice bottle.....I recommend it for young people and casual events.
This product is so good. My mother love it....and she used it too!

I enjoyed the bottle I did have of it. I owned it once and had no complaints. Nothing particularly special but nothing objectionable. Would I purchase again? If I found an incredible sale price, then perhaps yes.

Where can I begin. I have a very intimate history with this fragrance, in fact I went through 7/8ths of a 125ml bottle in the first ~6 months with my now long-term girlfriend, and I have a 75 ml bottle in my wardrobe at present, and am considerring buying another.

The initial blast is strong. Lemon, pineapple and something else I cant put my finger on. It is certainly fresh, fresher than anything I've ever smelt. Aquatics and citrus colognes have nothing on this; not even L'eau d'Issey, Aqua di Gio or any of the numerous 'fresh aquatic' brigade can begin to start on this fragrances freshness. Its a perfect morning 'picker upper,' even if your hungover.

The next stage is even more sensual; aromatic whiffs like a finely aged spirit. Its also quite dry, and dare I say its good for clearing out the nostrils.

The last stage is bliss; a woody, ambery, even slightly sandalwood-y fragrance that intensifies immensely with body heat and sweat. I've found that when I wear this, in 'passionate moments' Nightflight really starts to shine.

This is probably the 1 fragrance that suits me most in my wardrobe, and I am considering buying at least 2-3 bottles as 'backups.' For the price you can get it for on ebay, its just ridiculous.

My absolute favorite. 10/10.

As with many essences that contain a hefty amount of rather "controversial" ingredients (The combination of lemon and pineapple is very risky), Nightflight isn't for everyone. That being said, I'm glad it fits well for me, because it'd be a shame to let go of such an exquisite scent. The richness and zest that exudes is so multifaceted and stimulating; there's not a simple way to describe this fragrance -- it's powerful, it's apparent; yet, it's strangely pleasant and mellow; soft on the nose and invigorating on the mind. It's a rare powerhouse fragrance that redefines nobility, adding its own spicy-sweet hint of passion to complete the proper execution of one of the most luscious and manly scents in the world.

However, it's not all perfect. While it's lemon notes would make Dolce & Gabbana blush, they are a bit clotting on the nose, and too demanding of attention. The addition of pineapple, adding a citrus tone, enhances the strength of the lemon, and thusly is responsible for its prevalence throughout the life of this scent. Nevermind the conflict of interests you have either; this scent is very hard to balance correctly. It's a scent you can't overspray because it WILL induce headaches, but you don't want to wear too little, because every person in this world absolutely needs to smell this on a body whose chemistry does it justice, and so it is not for the shy man who goes without attention. So then; this is not a fragrance for the newcomers or inexperienced in the world of cologne.

Nightflight is vigorous proof that the most beautiful of things are only so in minute quantities. It lays it's faults down at your feet, where others weave them throughout their heart and base notes in an attempt to hide some of the imperfections. Most people are turned off by this scent due to it's initial overwhelming bombardment of lemon, pineapple, and Corander. The corander adds a very dry, spicy kick to the lemon and pineapple's wet, juicy punch, and it creates a wrinkled nose at first, because it smells extremely powerful. Fear not, though, because the drydown is absolutely marvelous. As the base notes yawn into life, the natural fusion of lemon to cedar and pineapple to sandalwood is absolutely mind-blowing. For those of you who can appreciate a remarkable fragrance, I encourage you to at least view this scent from an editorial standpoint, and revel in the majestic synthesis of top, heart, and base notes; united as an entire body of a proper fragrance.

No, this isn't a signature scent, nor is it an every day scent, because that would destroy some of the magic. Nightflight was forged with the notion of being mysterious and curious, but by accident, they have created a scent that is truly remarkable beyond all other scents I have tried.

The easiest 10/10 I will ever give.

Very nice all-round scent with great longevity and sillage. There is a quite strong and distinctive amber note going right from the top to the bottom of the pyramide. This has important implications:

Top notes: the citrus notes are given a 'heavy' character. They seem darker and thicker than usual. The topnotes are also very long-lived.

Middle notes: the florals feel very 'dry'. Not much ordinary sweetness -- the floral notes seem muted and have an unusual ambery warmth. There appears to be a strong rose note that works particularly well with the amber.

Basenotes: sandalwood plus amber give a refined and strong drydown. There are some tonka beans, too, that together with the amber provide sweetness and complexity. Finally, there is a quite interesting (and simultaneously puzzling) almond note. I am only guessing, but I believe the almond is in some way connected with the amber, and that it is very important for the whole composition (even though it has a strange smell on its own).

A very clean and aquatic scent. You could picture yourself near a harbor on a starry night wearing this. There is nothing extra special with this one, but it very nice, and I don't think it can be disliked, even if it doesn't break any boundaries.

Very fresh, clean smell. Won't provide a headache or nausea with whatever amount you put on(unlike the pink poison Joop made prior to this...)

Decadent and original. A pleasure to wear this fresh but powerful blend that is full with the confidence of the early nineties. See it as a predecessor to Chanel's Allure pour homme - both with strong tonka-bases, but with plenty merit of it's own. Since it's from Joop! you KNOW it lasts and lasts and lasts... Great bottle that really corresponds with the feeling of the juice. Get nightflight istead of the original, same innovative, extroverted and excentric vibe, but without the cloying bits.

A finer version of any an aquatic scent. Relaxing yet deep and magnetic, like listening to some addictive, repetitive tune bey Somke City- especially " Underwater Love" or to the song by Blank&Jones bearing the same name while being stoned and then trying to find an olfactive equivalent to these musical masterpieces and the sinful perfection of stepping out of reality. It smells also a little like the herbal, ozonic Horizon, creating the same sensation of wide open space, of fresh yet pleasantly perfumed air. This one stands for the inspiring, innovative style of the 90's scent( many of whom went wrong, while this one turned out just balanced and right, bearing that partly avantgarde extravagance, partly the return to basics that makes some nineties' male perfumes stand out). Might be compared as a mixture between Horizon, Cool Water( still much better than the Davidoff scent), XXL by Daniel Hechter, Gillete Cool Wave, Insense and Kenzo pour Homme- bearing a certain likeness to all of these unequally abled( some of them brilliant, others just plain) msculine marine scents.

This is one of the first scents I ever bought. What initially attracted me was the flacon. It's meant to resemble a starry night. Elegant, regal, intriguing, inviting. And that's just the bottle! Now the juice inside. Opens with dark citrusey notes of pineapple & lemon. Very fresh opening. Refreshing to say the least. Slowly develops into a flowery scent. I read somewhere it has essence of night flowers in it. As the name suggests, it's mainly for nighttime use, and it will keep you refreshed all night. It's particularly good in the Spring/Summer. Fantastic scent to say the least.

Long lasting sport scent, the pineapple note certainly made it different. A little goes a long way. I don't get what's so off putting, but it seems either a love it or hate it frag with all Joop scents.

A fresh and soapy fragrance that I feel is in the same idea as Platnum Egoiste. Very different from JOOP Homme, Nightflight is an initially sparkling citrus fragrance which develops into a fruity-soapy floral that never loses its masculinity.

They created this a bottle too late. It was asking too much to counter the first joop with something softer ,more mellow, when you think of joop you cant get that bright purplish-pink bottle or smell out of your mind.OH by the way this is good also.
