Reviews of Pino Silvestre ![]() MNSnowman Show all reviews | I find this EdT to have decent lasting power and great for every day use. I tend to shift to something a bit more sophisticated if I'm showering and going out for dinner, a play or the like; however, Pino is just great to replenish if it's a stay-at-home or out for a burger 'n beer, etc. 22nd November, 2011. |
![]() PerfumeCollector United StatesShow all reviews | I would like badly to give this fragrance my thumbs up, but I can't. I like it a lot, it is very well made, it doesn't smell cheap (although it is), it doesn't smell like cleaning fluids like many here are claiming, it is uber masculine, etc, etc... I could go on and on listing its attributes, but, it just doesn't cut it for a thumbs up, there are hundreds of perfumes better than this that would be not right to classify this perfumes with those that really make the grade. I like it a lot, but it just gets a neutral from me. 26th August, 2011. |
![]() alfarom ItalyShow all reviews | If you're an italian, born somwhere between 1955 and 1975, you can't be familiar with Pino Silvestre. This composition reached an incredible popularity during those years as it was widely available almost anywhere around Italy. It was extremely easy to buy being ridicolously cheap and readily available just next to the pasta's shelves in any supermarket. It was offered in an huge range of products going from the classic EDT to the (almost) 5 gallons family format bbubble bath/shower gel via aftershave and deodorant so that almost any italian family had at least a product labelled as Pino Silvestre in their bathrooms. 16th August, 2011. |
![]() Diplomat VenezuelaShow all reviews | Not bad, but certainly not great either. Did not like it much for the first hour or so. Liked it more after 6 hours. Pleasant, but nothing like the uber-elegant Esencia by Loewe which is how fresh green has evolved to perfection. 24th July, 2011. |
| Saintpaulia ScotlandShow all reviews | "Pino Silvestre, aptly named after the genus of evergreen Pinus Silvestris (the common Christmas tree) lives up to its name". 25th June, 2011. |
| Darvant ItalyShow all reviews | Notorious italian coniferous concoction which is a smoky, leathery, herbaceous, woodsy blend with a citrusy opening. It's pleasant and bold, very aromatic and green. This one combines coniferous elements as pine, juniper and cedar, with green aromatic ingredients as basil, thyme and clary sage. The lavender is the natural, masculine, traditional, watery shelter for the green coniferous notes while the dry down is mossy, ambery, with the smoky support of tonka and the texture of cedarwood. Longevity and sillage are very notable. This is like a walk in a forest early in a cold wet morning. 13rd February, 2011. (Last Edited: 15th March, 2011.) |
