I had a bottle of Ricci Club aftershave when I was about 25. I loved it. Ik was surprised to(recently) find out that RC is still in production and I bought a bottle on the web. A bit afraid that it might be a turn down, after more than 15 years. But it wasn't! I still love it! And although it's almost 20 years it came out, it's not oldfashioned in any way. The opening is fresh and sharp, first minutes a bit too sharp for my taste, but then it calmes down and bit to an incredible combination of warmth and freshness. How did they do this?? It's powerful but inoffensive, masculine but not macho at all, and pretty longlasting. I think it's very suitable for daytime use as well as special occasions, it's extremely 'versatile'. A kind of fragrance which becomes part of you (so make sure to build up some stock) Great bottle, too! 25 May 2007

Classic with endearing accords…an excellent, excellent citrus / green opening. This is the first Nina Ricci scent I have encountered, and from what I understand, her citrus creations are exemplary—well, judging from this one, that is so true. This ranks among the the best citrus accords I’ve experienced—smooth, clean, full, not sharp, not flat, and certainly not Lemon Pledge. It’s just plain wonderful. There’s a smooth transition between the citrus top and floral / green middle. In the heart notes, the cypress is kept quite restrained, making the citrus-conifer transfer seamless, with the possibility of making the scent seem a bit linear to someone not paying full attention. The conifer is continued into the base notes—again, another seamless transition. The base is an excellently balanced many-noted, full 80’s accord. I get primarily a soft, smooth cedar / cinnamon with the remainder of the base notes—smooth and attractive. I see Ricci Club as a traditional 80’s fragrance, extremely well constructed and balanced with pure and clean notes and accords. Besides its superb artisan quality, it does not have anything especially captivating element going for it. The scent I have is not the “Haute Concentration” version, and it is neither strong nor long lasting. I appreciate its subtlety but I would like to see a little more longevity. The regular version doesn’t last long enough, but Ricci Club has an abundance of beauty, and it certainly deserves a thumb’s up. That opening is phenomenal! 06 April 2007

I wore this quite often back in the early 1990s. I LOVE this fragrance, very citrusy and somewhat sweet. It is very similar to Photo by Lagerfeld, although I would say it is even more similar to Versace l'homme. A quite unique fragrance (that goes for all three of them). I wish Lagerfeld, or whoever bought the rights to the fragrance, didn't change the original rubber top with bright yellow lettering to a plastic cap and blue lettering. I guess just another way of cutting cost. If that's the case, it makes you wonder if they're cutting cost by cutting the amount of perfume oil in the product. Seems most fragrances nowadays don't last worth a #%*@*$!! Happy sniffin'. 08 January 2007

If you know Royal Water by Creed, then you'll find many similar notes between Royal Water and Ricci Club. Masculine, complex, yet light oriental scent. Excellent. 08 December 2002
