Rykiel Homme (1999)

What a pleasant surprise. I have the 125ml bottle of the EDP and I'm very happy.

It's hard to detect the individual notes described above, as it seems so well blended. To my nose I can smell a definite minty floral accord, but not a strong mint. It almost smells like the mint is an afterthought.

I imagine that this could be worn just as easily with a suit and tie, as it could very casually with jeans and a jumper.

This smells so much more expensive that it actually is. Totally underrated!

Perfectly composed from toe to top.
Every drop of this fragrance is perfection, as are Rykiel Grey (my dad wears that one, and i wear this one. Goes in the family eh?)
Not popular, that's my favorite part about it. Inoffensive yet well projecting..

Fantastic light grapefruit scent at first. But it turns into and even better scent later on. The sandalwood and other "airy" spices and woods. These elements make up for a simple, clean yet interesting fragrance. Very similar to Versace Man.

A pleasant grapefruit plus yuzu-tinged scent of little interest. But ultimately forgettable. This one will not stand out in the sea of men scents in the market today.

Rykiel Homme is a nice, long lasting modern fresh chypre fragrance. Best thing about it is that it is quite unique and uncommon. It’s like a little hidden gem.

Aromatic juice, it has slightly sort of “waxy”, salicylately fresh feel to it that I get from Tempore Uomo (Biagiotti).

If the one is looking for something that is fresh, gentle, reasonably masculine and not too popular, then this will make a fine choice.

Sonia Rykiel is surprisingly interesting house when it comes to men’s fragrances.
